The local theatre company, Twelfth Century-Fox, is producing its most ambitious project yet, "Grundimir and the Dragon". In an effort to stand out from the other theatres, they are presenting the play, not in thier main theatre, but in a huge lot behind the building. Instead of changing scenary on a fixed stage, the audience moves from scene to scene, accompanied by a narrator who tells the story while the actors on set play out the scene. It is hoped that this will draw in bigger crowds and generate more money.
You are the on-site manager and will hire and outfit the staff for the project. You'll hire actors to play the parts in the different scenes:
the Swamp Scene, the Battle Scene, the Castle Attack Scene, etc.
You'll also need Woodcutters to maintain the landscape, an Apothacary in case of emergencies, and don't forget the janitors!
They also made you the troupe's Fashion Designer, so you'll need craftsmen to make costumes and props for the actors.
On top of all that, the Chief Concessionaire just quit over a salary dispute. Now upper management expects you to come up with refreshments for the audiences, too! Farmers to grow food, Bakers and Brewers to process it, and vendors to sell it.
The opening date has already been announced, so get your people working and this place up and running!
Note: Two text files accompany this map and are included in the zip file. They are:
The Saga - this is the ancient story that the play is based on.
Warning: this saga is unedited and contains scenes of nudity and violence. Discretion is advised. Rated "T" for Teen.
Map Notes - this contains instructions on how to read the map, designer's notes, and trivia about the project.
Update v1.1 02/18/07
Corrected a couple of the animations. Upgraded the barracks to allow the player to stock the scenes with their own characters.
12th century fox.. hahaha! Very original idea, this map!

Thank you all for your kind commets. I really appreciate the feedback.
Incidently, if you're ever in a Googling contest, type in the word "Grundimir". You'll win every time!
