I designed this map as an experiment to try and learn the best strategy for using pitch ditches as defense.
In this map you are given a small village with a thin wooden palisade, a handful of archers, and a LOT of pitch. You must defend your small camp against a few large invasions.
This invasion is a lot more challenging if you leave the game speed on 40. That way you have a short amount of time to throw together a good pitch defense.
I am interested in finding out how the "pros" will do on this map.
Its a good idea to have your main defnce as pitch. The first couple of times I put my pitch too near each oter and created an interesting yet useless effect. The attacks always go round the back to your rigs with means you have to be on your toes so as not to have your pitch souce wiped out

This is a great fun map! Ideal for a short game.
It's just a fight. But there is a small bit of descision making: Do you save your wood for repairing the stockade? Or do you use it to build more pitch rigs? I managed to beat it on normal.
Playabilty: 5
A great short game. Tops a class of games of which there seem to be few.

I was kept guessing as to what was coming next and whether or not I had managed to husband my priceless pitch properly.

A nice idea. Simply executed.
Story/Instructions: 2
The rationale for the map was explained and good, not-too-revealing, hints given. I've scored this as a 2 because perhaps some scenario/background could have been created and a minimap added.
Thank you author! (I've decided to rate this to bring it back to the notice of players. I have to say that I was not sure *how* to rate it. I hope my comments above show my thinking.)
I thoroughly recommend this as a fun short game! Download it! Don't miss out!
