Furions, an immortal race of fiery fire, have attacked the city of Aephysio. Thousands of people were killed, great architectural achievement burnt to the ground and several members of the Royal Family were killed. The war against the Furions is terrible as there is no counter weapon against the flames of the Furions. The literally heated battles between the Humerii Army and the Furions have been disastrous. Thousands of Humerii warriors have been scorched to death. Many small villages have been ravaged by the wicked Furions. The worst thing about the huge refugee waves has been the lack of accommodation for the refugees.
As Aephysio was attacked, people fled the city in horror leaving their property only to be scorched and their homes burnt. There was no organized evacuation, they all just ran away where they thought they could find shelter. Many escaped to the underground tunnels but most refugees fled to the capital of the Northern Province. But the city is already filled with people who have escaped from the previous attacks. A new city must be built for the Aephysions and other refugees. A city for the poor souls wandering in Humeria. A city out of reach of the furious battles. A hidden city.
Playability - 4 - I enjoyed playing most of this mission. It was quite tricky keeping up the popularity in the early years and juggling the different priorities was quite hard. If you are the type of player who enjoys puzzles you will probably like playing this. I did find a few things frustrating though, while I know it works in with the story I find the idea of fire without wells in a map with constricted space very annoying.
Balance - 4 - It took me a couple of attempts at hard to get the early years played successfully, the later years were much easier.
Creativity - 5 - I found this map very creative. There were a few "tricks" to it that I hadn't encountered before, the events were done in an unusual way, the map itself had some creative features and the story also was original.
Map Design - 4 - Very attractive and interesting map design with a very nice fountain included.
Story/Instructions - 4 - This was a well written and original story but it just didn't "grab" me enough to rate a 5. The read me was also very good and shouldn't be missed.
