This review is the product of two human players. No AI's involved.
All in all, this map was good, and although there are flaws which brought down the overall score, its good points outweigh its bad.
Playability is high. With a human opponent, this map is just right. The previous comments are viable with AI only, as they don't have the ability to adapt.
The Balance of this map was ok, but it could have been better. One player had more iron and oasis space than the other, and the stone quarry's location near the land bridge made it difficult to defend. Not "good" difficult. There's nothing wrong with a challenge, but for both players, it is virtually impossible to gather stone. The other player can instantly send forces to destroy placed quarries, and vice-versa.
Map design is average. You show signs of improvement, but you haven't reached perfection yet (neither have I, mind you....). Resource seemed clunky, almost random. It looks as if you just plopped it down wherever. you could try blending the terrain a little more, make it flow together.
Story is low. Although you provided a decent description of this map, one or two paragraphs are not enough for a good rating. You have a whole webpage and zip file to present your master/disaster piece, you might as well use it.
As I said before, overall this maps good qualities outweigh the bad. The strangely-shaped terrain forces players to adapt and change their strategies, and a single bridge to your enemy makes for some interesting and fun battles. Keep it up and keep designing!
