Is there anything wrong in principle with emailing the author or posting a constructive review to help the designer, rather than posting empty comments which are of no use to anyone? If the map is on the weaker side, why not try to contribute to the site and help the designer? If you feel that the review score will be poor but you review with due consideration to the review guidelines, everyone benefits. Offer advice and help, don't dismiss a map based on the minimap and without even bothering to play the scenario.
If you feel that the map doesn't warrant your attention, or it doesn't interest you, then don't play it. The reviews section is being abused with these empty comments and should be used for specific posts relating directly to the map following your download and subsequent attempt at playing the map from start to finish.

Sulis is right. The map is really simple, but if you don't like it tell the author what is wrong like I do.

Agreed. While plain, this map has it's merits. The question I pose to you is this: "So what if it's a "noob" map? You are a "noob", as you call it, as well. This site is meant to be a peaceful community where map makers can share their work, and better themselves". Comments like this are NOT needed."
