For many, many years now, the people inhabiting these lands on the very edge of the Great Marshes lived in peace as farmers, trading some of their produce at local markets and living a quiet life of subsistence. Poor they may have been, but with relatively few concerns other than their immediate kin and the tortuously wet, but fertile lands they farmed, protecting what little they have was never contemplated.
However, times have changed. Stories and tales are spreading to even the far reaching hamlets that their lands have been invaded, their island breached, by a race of people from across the sea and who are already busy building fortifications in the Suthern Hills from which to launch raids into neighbouring shires.
Please read the comprehensive notes accompanying this map for further details on the story. It will give you plenty of background information and further enhance the story.
(4)As said above - I had alot of fun !! Maybe the invasions could have had a bit more time between them - it sure was a challenge to find the time to waste the enemy lord
But on the other hand, it sure felt goooood when I did :)
(4)There was enough resources around - The tight invasions maid the marketplace serve a purpose sometimes when I had to buy wood - I prefer not to use marketplaces, but here I couldnt beat the mission without it - It was however possible to manage even with the many invasions(am I repeting myself...) - It was fun !!
(3) The enemy lord in his little castle was a good move.
(4) The map was well done. The author had put alot of work on both this and the balance. There was the trick with the iron mine(took me a while to find) in a "cavern" :)
(4) Here I am a bit torn.
The story itself was very good !! (thats why I rate it as 4)
BUT !!! There was so many different goals to achieve that I could only read one line at a time, which was a bit irritating !
Thanks for the good time, I had alot of fun

This was a very enjoyable mission and I am looking forward to playing the rest in the series.
I found the playbility of the map somewhat easy but still challenging enough to keep my interest. I am also playing this map under the beleif that as I play through the other missions things will get tougher.
My only real complaint in this mission is the length of time between events. Because the time frame seemed to take a very long time between events, I did find some playability to be slow. Should the author add events to the map, even if just to keep the pace moving or keep the player involved the map would play out much better. Not really looking for more invasions, just something to spice things up.
The story and map design all add to great creativity and the design fits the story very well. A nice layout with limited resources making it quite fun.
The map design was very well captured and realistic appearance will always score well with me. Excellent map,
The story was also very well laid out and I am hoping to continue with this series.

Great fun to play this beautiful. The shaping of the meandering rivers is examplary.
Too easy on the other side, though the "Rat" is given many different units here. Best played on very hard.
