== Story ==
It's in the briefing.
== Notes ==
Made a quick map since I was in the mood for testing some diggable pebbles. In the end, I made a full map. It's objectives are very hard, with very large invasions as well. (I think they might have ended after a while...?) You need to gather iron to make pikes and armor, and the only iron on the map is in a fortified castle. Also, you can only use catapults. Numerous buildings have been disabled, such as square and round towers, as well as apples and cheese. There is no hops and stuff like that. There are no bad things or cathedrals, though there are good things (mainly for flags). No tunnelers, mangonels, ballistas, large gatehouses, pitch stuff, etc. However, the pig has access to everything =P. Play-tested a few times, wasn't too bad. Act quickly at the beginning! I'm probably gonna make it harder in a future update. |

This is a very nice map, It's good and challenging with all those invasions by the pig and the limited resources, and it is not so hard that I want to give up. Overall you did real good so keep the maps coming. |

This will be a spoiler for anyone who hasn't completed the mission.
At first, I lamented the fact that it wasn't possible to put down pitch so I could set fire to lotsa bakeries and defeat attacks. I got around this by making more bread production facilities so I could sell the surplus and afford weapons. I also created crossbowmen for the first time ever. I usually don't bother with them, but I had a few at the start of the game and noticed they didn't die as quickly as archers.
I built a wall to enclose the area to the left where the enemy appeared. I was surprised to find that after doing this, the enemy no longer appeared. Heavens! Does this always happen? I might just have learned something useful.
I pulled the same trick at the top, as far left as it's possible to go. There was one more, slightly to the right of the previous one, which was rather harder. There were only seconds in which to take action before a massive army of the Pig turned up. If I built a wall, enemy troops still appeared but didn't attack the wall. They were, however, able to rain arrows down on the surroundings, and I needed nearby iron mines to meet the mission's requirement of 30 iron. I eventually realised the trick was to build the wall at the very edge of the play area, preventing the enemy from appearing. I've never done that before. This done, I found that new peasants no longer appeared, a phenomenon I hadn't previously encountered.
The mission was rather boring when I had to sit around waiting to receive tax and sell excess food to buy weapons. I wonder if I needed so many troops because my tactics were bad. I made a few attacks with 300 macemen, but for the last one, I had 600, and for a while I wondered if I needed a thousand. The requirement of 30 iron was way too much. By the end of the game, the only life forms active belonged to me, so there was nothing to do other than sell food. Even with these criticisms, it was still a great mission which was original in a number of ways. Alas, it didn't recognize that I'd killed the enemy king, so I wasn't able to finish the mission officially. |
