1188 A.D. When the city of Acre was built, it was to be a bastion of Christianity in the Holy Land, an eternal protection against the infidel forces of the Caliph Saladin. But, alas, the infidels have spread in recent years, spread so much that even mighty Acre has fallen to their filthy, demon-worshipping hands. Now we, the Knights Templar, must reclaim the city and defend it against the wrath of the infidel armies. Only thus may God be appeased.
The Siege of Acre is the first map I ever made that I was actually satisfied enough with to put up here for download. It's a standard occupy-defend map. I've played it all the way through, and find it moderately challenging but satisfying. Should be good for experienced and new players alike.
~A few tips~
-Don't be afraid to use your Engineers when invading. You have plenty of gold with which to make new siege weapons other than the ones you begin with...use it!
-Land is at a premium. Consider your need vs. how much oasis space is available before you place anything.
-Save your knights during the initial assult. They can make speedy counterattacks when the enemy begins attacking you later on.
