It is the year 1328 you have just been given a castle from the king for your deads on the battlefield which holds the royal treasoury of England which you must protect, you think you can spend the rest of you life peacefully in your castle till one day gigant hordes of unknown barbarians appear on your horizon and force you to take on armes ones more.
Playability: Very good, I thought. This map is entertaining and enjoyable, with plenty going on and lots to keep you busy. I have played a few times on different difficulties and all levels seem to offer something.
Balance: I had to give this a 5 as it is rather taxing (based on my skill, or lack of it, in fending off invasions) but still thoroughly enjoyable. Lots to bear in mind economically, lots of jiggling and a very good balance between the invasion and economic goals required. It works well, with events timed to cause problems when you least expect them, or 'nice' things when they are needed. Top rate.
Creativity: A good idea adopted here, interesting and surprisingly engrossing. Any scepticism I had was pretty much eradicated as the map progressed.
Map Design: A splendid castle recreation, all done on lowest terrain. The landscape was well thought out and believable, and offered more depth than others I have reviewed. Plenty going on.
Story/Instructions: No real gripes here at all, though if I had to pick on something, it would be for a little bit more content. However, this is a minor thing and should not take anything away from the map overall!
Good fun, enjoyable, very playable and good looking - well done! Definitely recommended.
