*Difficulty
-The difficulty is determined by the player's
skill.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
*Why?*
-I wanted to make this map because there are no 300 maps on Stronghold Heaven. (That I know of)
------------------------------------------------------------------------
*Eye Candy*
-The enclosed wall in the Persian castle is a tower under construction.
-The wooden door by the sea is a mine.
-The tower with the water flowing from it is the drainage from the keep.
-The seat looking thing by the open gate is Xerxes (moving) throne.
-The monk by your troops is Ephialtes, the hunchback in spartan gear.

Now I've played this map about 4 times, and its decent. It's not the best, but its decent. A bit of a bloodbath in someparts, which is always fun. Yet there is nothing that really attracts me, makes me think that I must win at all costs, then want to go back and do it over. The objective itself was pretty simple, go in there, bash everything up and wack the Enemy Lord on the head. This was acheieved with out too much difficulty. My battle plan was as follows: I hanged around until my bandit archers arrived. These archers would pepper the units blocking the pass with arrows behind a wall of swords man until they resembled pin cushions. The swordsman then marched forth in a sold mass. I suffered a few casualties from the traps. It was then a case of charge in, kill everything in sight, get a couple of guys to commit suicide and get the engineers to pour the oil, then bash down the gates and give the Lord a good spanking. I found an annoying problem however. That chair thingo had a stack of archers on top of it which I couldnt reach. My archers tried to engage them but they were always utterly annilated. They made it very annoying for me.

I fond this map to be something of a challenge, while still beatable on my first go. There are no flaws or errors here that make a big difference, although it would have been nice if you had a bit more variety of troops, maybe some siege equipment? Maybe you could have made the map just a little bit harder and more challenging perhaps? Some ideas on that would be a low wooden wall, a kind of stockade to fight through or a few more troops, some extra spearman and macemen partrolling the area or a an invasion force about 4 moths after you start the game?

Several nice things in this scenario like the mine and the fleet of ships give this rating. Yet there is nothing strikingly unique in it, that makes it stand out in my memory. To a get high rating in this go for something in the map that has a flair of originality.

For a first timer, this is a great effort. Good looking castle, like the look of the houses on the beach. Also the ships were nice, although they would have looked much better if they had been lowered and had some wooden crennelations on them. The pass lokked a bit ugly though. Try to do it on bit more a curved angle. Also some more detail in the terrain, in the forms of rocks, pebbeles and dirt would have been welcome. Not the best, but a very good effort here. Keep it up.
Story/Instructions: 2
Mate, just having a weblink isnt enough. Thats just taking credit for what others have written. In the game decription you should have had a brief rundown of what was going on. Just because its a movie that people seem to know doesnt mean they can tell the stry themselves. Also for people like me who havent seen the movie, we have to work it out ourselves.
Additional Comments:
Ok, maybe I was abit harsh with this review. But really, I can that you have some potential, go out there and use it![Edited on 05/28/07 @ 02:24 AM]
