As you tuck into the delicious deer, your father informs you of an upcoming scouting mission. "What do you think son? It'll be a great chance for you to learn about scouting." Not knowing much about it, you decide to join. As you head over the hills into the next county, you hear the crys of war. you stare at the enormous army about to besiege the castle. "come on sire, we need to keep focus, I'm sure your father can handle it." you agree and continue marching...
a couple of weeks later, drenched and shivering, you return. "Well that was a waste of time! All that way just to find barren un-defendable lands!" But the muttering soons gives way to errie silence. The once magestic castle you grew up in. was burned to the ground. on closer inpection, you find your father is missing. fearing his death, you create a memorial and a church where his keep was. You began collecting the rubble when your masons tell you the stone is rotten and brittle. any castle built out of this would collapse on it's self. you wonder how this could of happened, then you look at your feet, the ground is scorched. since this soil will be lifeless, you decide to set up camp near a river. you notice an anomily in the nearby hillside, but it just appears to be a rocky outcrop. after a few days, your food supplies run out. cold and starving, you stare out at the hills. you spot something moving. "it appears a village is setting it's self up nearby sire." with nothing left, you head down to the village. you meet and disscuss with the villagehead. you come to a deal, they provide food and building materials, and you give them protection and troops. however, you aren't liked much by the peasants and decide to stay near the river...

Playability: 4
Edit: All of the bugs I mentioned previously have been fixed, and this map is completely--per say--playable, with this in mind I feel the map was a bit short, but nonetheless fun and intriguing.
A better than average playthrough, highly original and appealing to the strategist.
Balance: 4
Edit: Opening up that ford near the northern part of the map turned out to be a big factor in the battles, whether or not you could hold it turned out to be the deciding factor on the castle's defense, and not only was it challenging, it wasn't TOO challenging, and it was fun.
Better than average, a 4 is deserved, great job!
Creativity: 5
The premise was one of the coolest I've ever seen, and the way it was pulled off, with all the different troop colors and such, was done like a pro. To me that's all I need to see for a 5. Great job!
Edit: It's still cool and was pulled off even better with the edits, fantastic.
Edit: lol.
Map Design: 5
Edit: Now there is no question about it, the way you blended marshlands into fords into rolling hills was seamless and eye catching, the terrain played a big factor in the fight, which is something not many people can pull off, it opened up the possibility of customizing the defenses based around the terrain itself, the fords and whatnots, this I think earns you the 5; it looks good, it adds to the overall feel of the scenario, and for a first timer, it is an incredible feat.
Story/Instructions: 4
Edit: Map description page has been fixed, and all my worries about overscoring you on this part of the map have been laid to rest. This is definitely worth the 4; better than average.
Additional Comments: All in all, an AWESOME first map, it looked like you put a lot of effort and time into it, but the lack of detail /thoroughness blemished the map.
Edit: Even better! I can't wait to see your next map!
Again great work, keep it up.
