Hello This is my First invasion map please Download and rate and hopefully you will like it.
A long time ago in the year 1082 The Redguards(You) Disgraced the God of thunder Sajid by destroying one of his shrines. So Sajid got Furious that he sent many Armies to attack your Castle you are short on supplies and resources and Sajid's Armies are on their way. Will you cower and run away from his Armies? Or make a stand and destroy his armies? Its your choice.
I want to start with saying that this is a really good first map! Might have been the best 'first map' i've ever played! And I like the name too.
This is a typical invasion map, and a good one. (the last battle... you will sweat) It's also rather special, because it (very obviously) starts with very small, very easy invasions. And then the last invasion proves to be nearly impossible! It was quite nicely done.
Though, one problem was, there was too little space in one of the sigposts, making the army come from south, and by doing so they came in range of the archers, and got shot.
If you want the player to win automatically when all enemies are dead, there is a script in Stronghold in the win condition, called 'no enemy and invasions left'. Just thought you maybe didn't know that.
This is quite hard to decide. But having the last invasion in mind, It's a 4.5. It was really one of those 'last stand' things. But it wasn't perfect... but it was good. The designer must've spent alot of time playtesting this map to get it right.
Overall, this isn't a very original, creative map. The castle design is really simple. But I think the idea with the invasion - having it harder and harder each time was a nice detail. And there are ruins and stuff like that on this map too, makes it a 3.5.
Map Design: 3.5
I've never liked the Crusader map editor, and I don't think you can make such good looking maps with it, but this just isn't anything out of the ordinary. It's a 3.5. It's good, and as I said, there is a ruin that looks really cool.
This is only a 2. There is very little story here, in fact the text on the map description is all you get...
One of the - if not the - best 'first map' i've ever played! Good job Santino!
