Word of advice: don't make lotr maps. Especially if... er, you have not got any good ratings on your maps, if you know what I mean. The worst map anyone could ever do would have to be Khazard Dum. Also, I have seen how many maps have been released by you at one time. Damn! Quality is better than quantity, unless your maps have been sitting around for a while.

I suggest you go over some of the map design tips and spend more time on the maps.Try to use as much of the tools as possible to create a realistic landscape instead of keeping it unembellished. Use several brush sizes and gentle brush strokes for elevation, a good combination of shrubbery. But not at random places. Make sure you don't place too much stone & iron. It makes the map too easy.
Decide what your map will look like before making it. Making sketches will help you on the terrain shaping. Look at some of the works of King Bret Popo, Pat Dark knight,Yasko,Sulis,Brave sir robyn, Demonta.

Excellent words surajsubba. I couldn't have put it better myself. I look back on my first map and laugh because I have learnt how to use certain terraining techniques. I am still getting better to this day. My best map will be out soon, Reckless Hate part 5. Don't worry, TheLordConde, you will get better with every submission. Good luck.
