Story:

It is the year 1343 and a war has been erupting for the last year and a half between a kingdom of rich and beautiful cities and a kingdom ruled under a cruel lord.

In 1341, just before the war started, the two lords came together in a friendly meeting to form an alliance between the two kingdoms. Before this event, they were not known to each other. They sent messages to one another and then they agreed they would meet not at a city, but at an oasis. The kind and brave lord suggested this. He didn’t not like the idea of a neutral lord being in his city. He had a bad feeling about it because the other lord was neither enemy nor ally.

They met under the cool shade of a tree next to a watering hole 10 miles from the closest town. Both lords had a small party of troops. The lords stood at least three meters apart, not once taking their eyes off each other until an elegant man stepped forward and announced the names of both the lords, ‘King Agather and King Edward are brought here to pledge allegiance to each other…’ and he droned on…

King Edward, the kind and brave. King Agather, the cruel and heartless. King Edward did not know how cruel the other was. A few moments past and the elegant man was still talking, then he handed King Agather a scroll of paper and a feathered pen to sign. He finished and handed it to the kind lord. King Edward took the scroll and realised the other lord was smiling like the devil. It was unusual but everything was going good so far so he continued to sign.

Suddenly, an assassin lunged forward at King Edward! There was no time to think! He was stabbed in the shoulder before a group of spearmen hurried to save their king. The assassin was slaughtered in an instant. The two groups of soldiers fought each other and one of the spearmen yelled, ‘Sir, get out of here now! We’ll hold them off!’

King Edward grasped at his shoulder as he ran back through the rocky desert and away from the small battle. King Agather was furious. The plan did not go as well as he thought it would. He was supposed to kill King Edward and claim the kingdom as his. The cruel lord now had one more enemy; but this enemy, was like no other. King Agather made the biggest mistake of his life.

Reckless Hate - Part 5
Defending the religious city of Remings

The few attacking soldiers that are still alive kill their enemies with no mercy. Finally, they kill the lord and slowly take off his helmet. With a large stab wound to his stomach, the lord is not dead! And it is not King Agather! He coughs blood and cries, ‘Please, I was sent as a decoy,’ (cough) ‘I don’t want to die…’

One of the attacking soldiers kneels down and talks quietly to the suffering man. ‘I will ease your pain if you tell us where King Agather is.’
‘I was told,’ (cough) ‘not to tell you-’
‘Tell us and you will suffer no more.’

The decoy man coughs twice then speaks. ‘At the city of Iseknos. It is impossible to siege, so don’t try. But-but there was another. A prisoner-’
‘Is the prisoner alive? When do you last see this?’

But it was too late. The suffering man suffered no more. He went still, eyes wide and frozen. The soldiers were silent, now they knew exactly where their king was. At the city of Iseknos.

They traveled across the desert, but there determination was strong and they were not exhausted. One hundred soldiers remained and they knew they couldn’t siege a city with only one hundred men. They needed reinforcements and they knew exactly where to get them. The peaceful religious city, Remings, had quite a large army; they were also a very close ally to King Edward. The king of Remings said he would let his army be called upon to fight along side him at any time.

The army walks through a rocky mountain pass for a couple of hours until they come out of a large opening and immediately discover Remings on the other side of a flowing river. The image is spectacular. The structures at Remings are beautiful.

The lord that you have to protect is not King Edward. Have fun playing part 5.

Playability: 4.5
Hi Dragonheart. I reviewed your two first Reckless hate maps, and I saw this one and map 4 hadn't been reviewed. Such a shame for such magnificent maps. So I decided to do this one.
What to say, the playability isn't a problem at all. The whole map in every aspect is a great one, but as you see, not many are straight fives. Close though.
It just isn't 'the perfect map', something that say, the first one felt like.
Great map though, one that everyone should download!

Balance: 4.5
At first I definately thought it would be impossible. The army in the beginning is massive! And you really did a good job on that, it felt big and terrifying. It was cool how you designed the map, so that all soldiers moved at once! But I managed to kill everyone off and I had some knights and swordsmen left. I collected half of the army and put it in front of the bridge(the bridge is terrific), and the rest of the army untouched. It was really good.

Creativity: 4.5
The eye candy is really good, I like the water effects you did on this one. It really was a nice touch. There is not much in this map still untouched by your creativity, even the river has some stone work alongside it. Again, the bridge was really cool.
The story and general idea is good overall.

Map Design: 5
Obviously a lot of time has been spent to make the map look like it does, and the outcome is beautiful. All I need to say. Pretty much what I said on creativity.

Story/Instructions: 4.5
This is always the category in which I say the least. Its a good story, and the story itself gives a reason to the cool preplaced army outside the city.

Additional Comments:
I don't know why, but it feels like mostly newbs posts Crusader maps these days. So it really stands out when Dragonheart posts his maps, being one of the best Crusader map makers on SH. Thumbs up!

This map is perfect in every way. It's as simple as that. I loved everything about it.

The playability was awesome. You had to do many things: Hold off the attacks on the bridge, slow the enemy down as they run through the city, ten you had to stop them from getting to the lord. Everything was synchronized perfectly.

The balance was great. I had 10-20 archers left and they were the ones who picked off the last enemy troops. But after the entire battle, the city still looked great. It didn't have much destroyed stuff.

Creativity was good. Such a great idea. I could never come up with an idea like this. Everything was designed nicely.

Map design was nuts. Never seen anything like it. The city was like a marble statue of God and the terrain was crazy. You are very skilled.

Story was great too. I just had to read this story because I needed to know what happens about King Edward. lol

This map is the best!
