Haesthentel, the castle of the island of the wind. the enemy powerful armed with precision balances will make your door a stone heap. To release your dogs to hope to destroy some of them. Resist longest possible so that the troops of elites of the enemy gathers in your village which it will alas be necessary to sacrifice to the flames of the hell. Good luck!
Playability: 4
This map doesn't demand too much of a strategy, and you don't have to do so much in order to win. It requires some moving around with archers I think though, and there's even a big fortress of its own in the middle with archers already, where you can put the archers and crossbows that are defending the outer wall. It's not too fun or original... but its a 4. You set your whole city up in flames, and that's fun lol.
Balance: 4
Like most newcomers, they say their maps are impossible or just very hard. This one sais the difficulty is impossible. I have to admit, it was kinda hard, and the army looks really big, which gives you a feeling of there's no hope which builds up the atmosphere... In the end though (and planned pretty good) the fire manages to kill the remaining army.
I must admit, the AI was really good on this one, the different types of soldiers works out really good. It was how the castle was designed I suppose.
Creativity: 3
There are some creative touches in this map, but its very much the same as other maps. A fortress is attacked, with killing pits and fire. Not much new. You could add some more eye candy, but the little island was cool.
Map Design: 3
The map you download isn't the same as in the minimap. But even with how it looks like on the minimap its a 3. You need to work more on terraining, it has to look completely natural. The sides of the fortress was nice though, with some bushes and such.
Story/Instructions: 2
There is none that follows with the map, nor in the map itself. The only you get is in the map description above this review. This is something that could be added in future maps. A story.
Additional Comments:
A descent map. But the designer has to work even more with his maps in the future for better scores.
Quantity is better than quality.
Submit lesser good maps, than several 'bad' maps. They are not so bad really, but they could be better.
