My Lord, It is said that the castle of Lord Scorpio is one that requires much skill and effort to get into. There is only one pass up the mountain that is well gaurded. After making it up the pass the next wall is well protected as well. Trust my words, lay your siege from afar for if you don't you will never last.
Lord Scorpio's troops are sworn to protect the castle at all costs. They will not be defeated easily. Many are set on high and have marksman skills as well. These troops have tasted blood in the past and look forward to it again.
If you persue this task be well warned, Lord Scorpio has had much time and spent a vast fortune on this his first castle. News from other armys is just to get thru the first gate is all the farther weaker ones have made it.So My Lord, be swift on your feet and be courious of the unseen. Lay your siege wisely and make use of the troops for this is an attack that will take time.
This castle is designed to be attacked, for defending it is rather easy. I have Updated the map and I think the balance is better now. Rate it and let me know what you think.

The playability of this map is pretty good "as attacker" like the Scorpion metions and for the "advanced player". The balance of troops is very good. The creativity of the castle and map layout are fine. I like how theres only one way to go, a challange it is. Finally story/instr, nice story and who cares about instructions.

Playability:This map I enjoyed very much, though I doubted at one point if I had enough troops.
Balance: Though there was a lot of enemy troops it didn't seem enough due to the traps on the way to the castle. Maybe less traps and more enemy troops would've made this a more intense seige that would've made you question whether you would defeat this seige or not. None of the enemy even got as far as the gate.
Creativity: This was a very creative map you could tell that the author spent some time thinking about the design.
Map Design: What else can I say very well thought and great work.
Story/Instructions: Short and sweet, I'm more of a get to the point type of person, so if this had a Long story I would've read the first sentence and ignored the rest.
Conclusion: Great Job.

This map is no more than a punishement. at defender launch the game at very hard, dont even make a single click and win. As attacker it's worst. Author seems to encourage player to use long range strike and advanced option to change your troops. You have gold but no engineers. I have to admit I dont like too much advanced option, nor long range strike. As attacker it's a boring long time attrition war : I hate to use blind spots and long range strike. about balanced I have to admit I played as attacker at normal. Nobody could force me to play this map again so playability is low. perhaps standard where different one years ago. reviewing is also a personal matter.really a 3 in balance is generous Imo. The map is also plagued the numerous problems. Allowing siege engins for defenders is a bad idea : they attack their own fortification, it's a bug of course, but it prove the map hasn't been tested enough, or perhaps the maps worked differently in V1.0. author claims the maps is better to play as attacker, however, scripted events and msg are obviously for defenders mostly. Lack of playability is the worst side of this map. Map design is average, however is a section I feel not the most important in siege map, and is here a little above of average uploaded siege map. However hint and tips are absent of the package, and if the story is good, it's not amazing to deserve a 5. creativity have nothing exceptional, but is not bad. In summary deal with balance in this map strike very badly, imo, balance, where other section, if sometime good are not enough exception to deserve the best rating.
A 3 in balance is only due you can loose as attacker. It's even easy to loose if player lack of patience, when at defender you have nothing to do to win even at very hard. however, honnestly the author warn us about this.

It seems there is a real split over this map and I ahve to side with Jalis. The map is hard and crampt but so overwhelming at the ame time and it takes such a long time to play. It is defiantly not a a very playable map but slightly irritating and difficult - you have to sneak through attacking weak areas. The map is designed for attacking I think as in defence it is ludicrous but as Jalis said the events are scripted for defence. The map is quite creative but the fort itself is a jumble of buildings, walls and men. The map design as well is ordinary. However there is a nice storyline to accompany the map and credit must be given to this map as it was made quite a long time ago. Overall though it does dissapoint, especially the lack of playability and the time it takes to play.
I can't get at the place where I can check at the moment, but I would guess from the wide difference in views that the first two reviewers played the map pre revision.
