You have to defend this castle. You have lost the battle "Link to the Sea." Now defend the Motherland. Use the knights in front of the wooden gate to slow down the first wave of attackers. Use the spearmen and the few macemen to slow down second wave. Move your swordsmen in the courtyard to necessary locations, before the enemy enters the main courtyard. Use the engineers with hot oil to burn the enemy swordsmen.
Playability:..3.. I gave playability a 3 because I was able to defend the castle with 85% losses. At first this may seem unfair, due to the high loss rate. But in defending, all I basically had to do was move a few groups of archers and macemen to different locations, and let the battle play itself out.Balance..2.. As the defender I really didnt have to do much to win the day, and as attacker I had no gold to build siege engines with, so my engineers basicaly just sat around, as I sent macemen to break through very thick outer defenses topped with dozens of archers and x-bowmen. Alas, it was futile, as they were mown down like dogs. Creativity..4..I give high marks for creativity because of the map and castle layout wich were very interesting, wich brings us to..Map Design..4.. alot of time and effort shows here in the design of the map and the castle, nice work. Story/Instructions..3..Not alot of a story here, but it does lay down the basic premise of the scenario, and is an interesting story but rather short. This map will be very good once the author addresses the balance issues. Also dont forget to give the attackers some gold so when the player tries as the attacker, he can utilize siege equipment as well. Otherwise the engineers are useless. A few tweaks here and there and this will be a fine siege.

Playability: This map didn't really hold my interest a great deal, i'm afraid. It was okay for a quick skirmish, but defending was just too easy. Attacking was a bit better on hard, but i'm rating this map based on the defensive approach, as per the instructions laid down.
Balance: As above, no real challenge involved.
Creativity: The idea in theory was fine, but the map itself didn't really inspire me. It could have been a better map with a bit more thought in the story and layout.
Map Design: I don't like to moan about maps if I can help it, but I have to be honest here. I thoght the map was very crude and not particularly attractive to look at. The castle itself is okay, but again nothing special. With the efforts placed by other authors on this site getting better all the time, it takes a really special map to grab the attention.
Story/Instructions: Not bad, but again it would have been nice to see more detail.
