Hi, before I tell you what is happening, this is my first map i don't know how it's gonna be, but here goes...
About two years ago, a man was wandering through the sweltering heat of the desert. He had been sent to find a good area to start an empire. But that was at the very back of his mind, survival was all that mattered now. The man found a rock to sit down on to rest. He took out his water canteen to take a drink, and started, was it his imagination, or was there really a mountain of red and a sea of white on either side of him...
When the man returned with the news, his superiors were suprised --They were trying to get rid of him. Nevertheless they put him in charge of building a fortress there, to mine and sell the resources present. He worked hard and surprised them again by finishing the fortress. so they gave him one more order: continue to sell respurces, protect the fortress from bandits, and eliminate any opposition, gaurd it with your life. Yes your life... that man... is you.

If you enjoy massive armies fighting each other (like I do...), you'll find that plentiful here. You are trapped in the desert with a massive army, to lay siege to what seems to be an indestructible fort. However, the siege was simply too easy. The two ballistae made its beginning interesting, but a few dozen catapults quickly demolished everything, and quickly disemboweled the blue army. Nothing made me grip the edges of my seat.
Starting with 50,000 gold, anyone could win this map. Balance was favored too much towards the human player.
To the author: Did you mean that you couldn't beat this map without spending all the gold?
A classic first map. It wasn't without its interesting parts, though. The human player's fortress was constructed in a simple square, though the walls were rather interesting...

As far as map design goes, a good first map. The sandy hills in the desert caught my eye, and the ruins looked as if they had been there for hundreds of years. Not many first maps are like this. Continue learning! They already look realistic!
The story is just a quick prompt, nothing really special. Just a few simple objectives on the screen.
A strong start for a first map! Continue learning and you'll be a good landscape designer. However, in future maps, put it into a storyline. Everything's better with a storyline. Castles could be much, much, more complex.
You have lots of potential, just don't waste it!
(this scenario was incridibly long, also even after i waited until the timer reached the end, and killed the enemy lord i kept being hit by invasions, i have NO idea how to win)
(the invasions were good, but they NEVER end)
(the castle dedign was very creative)
