Since you were a child, you have heard of the fabled Golden Valley, a valley filled to the brim with resources to sell and make loads of gold. Many a traveler have sought this land to make their fortune, but to no avail. One day, you decide to set out on your own quest to find the Golden Valley. days turned to weeks and your supplies began to lessen to almost nothing. Then, deprived of food and water, and in the middle of the desert the valley is supposedly located in, and saint like figure is seen coming up over a dune. A traveling trader. You wave him down and he kindly gives you fresh supplies. You thank him and continue on your way. After several days, you spot a decline in the dunes. Following the path down, you stop and look around in awe at your location. A beautiful valley lay before you. A large oasis or two lay in between some lush streams running through. You look to the left and spot a large deposit of iron ore and stone, and even more of in the distance. You have found the Golden Valley. You walk out to explore the land and you spot some others, just as awed as you are. You all talk for a while and then set out to explore the rest of the valley together. It was just as the people back in your hometown told: Lush, resource filled, and beautiful...
But they forgot to tell you about the lions.
Most of the travelers are massacred and eaten by the lions, but you and some of the others escape. You all decide that shelter is needed, to keep away from the brutal sun and dangerous lions. So, in time, you and the travelers erect a keep and elect you as the group leader. So here, your journey to prosperity begins.

The map was good, but it had no signposts! There were too many trees, so i had to use tree blight thrice.
Balance: 3
I like the fact that the best place to be is covered in lions, as well as having to build your granary in a seperate fort (especially when playing on the mountain-top)
Creativity: 4
I like the fact that the rivers come from dunes that resemble underground tunnels, good marks here.
Map Design: 3
It was a good map, but it had too many trees! The map was designed to keep you loaded, not challenge you, like large barren desert.
Story/Instructions: 3
A good story, but "Good Luck" is hardly good instructions.
