Lord Aeden, a great and prosperous king in his day has lost the fortress he and his people once called home. A 3 year battle against King Kaylanis has left his troops thin. In the final months of battle he retreated with what army he had left and ran to take cover in his castle to the north. Not being the fortress he once lived in he hopes to make a great and final stand here.
Surrounded by the Laodan mountains there is but one entrance into this valley. The castle has been unused for a long time but Lord Aeden prays his walls will hold. His ancestors won many a great battle within these walls over the ages, and Aeden hopes to do the same. Knowing the weaknesses that have come over the years, the weakened gatehouses, the deteriating moat...
But maybe, maybe Aeden can get some of his archers up in the hills before Kalanis and his army reach the valley. Maybe Aeden can get some pitch in the field, or killing pits to slow the army down. It simply looks so hopeless...
It won't be long before Kaylanis finds Aeden and his troops, lets hope they can figure their strategies in time...
And then they fought.....
This is only my second scenario map. My first (Lord of War) didn't get a very good review so I decided to try something a little bit different. I'm not so good with stories and have a hard time makeing the sound not so cliched, but I gave it a go.The castle itself has everything you'll need, but beware, some of the buildings cannot be rebuilt, so if the enemy destroys them you are S.O.L. I tried to make the landscape as real as possible. I have played this map over and over and find it to be very challenging.
The scenario starts in January 1181 and by 1183 Kalanis finds your castle and begins to send his troops. Attacks get greater in strength as time goes on but by 1194 King Kalanis depletes his troops and Lord Aeden is victorious.
Please give it a go and let me know what you think. All reviews are welcome as I am only hoping to improve. Please try my other maps as well and give them your thoughts.
From the minimap, it looks as if it's getting better! After this, I think you should start to consider learning some more of the map-making tricks.

The thousand stones trick and advanced farms tricks aren't for the fain of heart. If you don't have backups, you can be left with indestructible artifacts. Also, the thousand stones might cause gameplay problems, and positioning of the magic eraser is always tough...
