The beds of the great Lakes of North America were gouged out by the action of continental glaciers during the last ice age. On this map a similar glacier formed the basin for a large lake. Tectonic forces i.e. the uplift of the northern section of the map left this basin above the valley floor, thus forming a hanging valley and with water, a hanging lake. I don't really have a story for this map just the explaination of how this strange geologic feature could have been formed. I first made this map for four keeps I added the last two to give the player more flexibility. This map is a near mirror image. It can be played 3-3, 2-4, or 1-5. The map is balanced if you play 3-3. Just one last comment, while global warming is bad, just think about how much worse global cooling would be. Enjoy
Hell yeah. Global cooling drastically lower the world's food supply - there are barely enough calories, even if they were evenly distrubuted, to feed the entire world.

A very realistic looking mini-map. How did you get the snow?

The snow detail is created using the invisible stone trick.

Snow? There isn't any snow. I think you must be referring to the islands in the middle of the lake. They are full of rabbits that look white or pale in the mini-map. I don't how to make snow. I wish I did.

Von Kamstra, I really feel demurely trying to help such an experienced map maker like you, but adding snow features to maps is quite easy. I think you've heard about the 1000 rock trick, so just choose an empty corner of the map and fill it with lots and lots of smallest rocks. Keep adding them until they turn invisible. Now place a sea feature and later a small river part on the sea (You will see the smashing, bubbly water tiles, right?). just place the invisible rock ON that tile, and the water will freeze; these white tiles make an impression of snow. I hope Sulis won't mind about this comment, as it's related to the map.

Thanks I will give it try. By the way experienced or not I really don't know many tricks or special effects with the map editor.

Cool map Von Kamestra,I like how the river gets narrower at the middle of the map and how the hills are laid out.
oh,and if you want to see some cool evidence against global warming go tohttp://video.google.ca/videosearch?q=the+great+global+warming+swindle
This is not meant to be an insult or a rude comment,I saw it and thought it was good and was
hoping that you would see some truth in it.
