In ancient Mesopotamia, precious water collected in the Tarus & Zagros Mountain ranges flows down onto the North Eastern sands of the Arabian Desert filling the Euphrates & Tigris Rivers. Centuries of spring runoffs have carved narrow canyon passes and exposed coveted iron-ore deposits in the foothills. Five Tribal Warlords claim this fertile strip of land as their birthright and years of broken promises and expanding city walls promise to foment into a full-scale battle for survival.
Take up your position in the lower left corner of the map for an “easier” game, and center right for a hard game. Top right would give you a medium or “average” level of difficulty.
I suggest selecting the four AI enemies you fear the most and take on no allies. If you need allies at this point, seriously, go back to level one. This also makes for a fun multi-player map as most of the buttes and bluffs are accessible and can be used to harass and disrupt enemy encampments.
Please enjoy this map and take a few minutes to comment and rate it. Thanks!
Fun Fact: Mesopotamia is a Greek word meaning 'between the rivers'. The rivers are the Tigris and Euphrates, which flow through modern Iraq. The Euphrates also flows through much of Syria.
This map looks interesting...I will download it and see how it plays.

I agree with you, Lord William1234. The author resembled Tigris and Euphrates quite well, i like the river style. The AIs will work well on this plat; in my opinion, this map shouldn't be left aside.

Great! this looks like the firefly studios team made this map, excellent even though the lower left guys aren't so lucky with their oasis land.

I like this map against The Lionheart and caliph, with saladin on my team. There is not much to say besides the fact that there is not much wrong, if anything.
It's aperfect combo, perfect for the difficulty you selected.
This map is your creative yet, How long did it take to make? It looks like it took forever.

Securing the flawlesness,a story that makes it all worth it.

Well I would say to make this level of detail would only take him 2 hours or so since there is not extreme blending of the map terrain.

(The map has a great playability, but is a little old fashioned. The map offers up great resource variation and is great for AI battles.)
(The maps balance is very good for fun non competitive batles.. The only problem is that its not complex enough. The map just dosent offer a new or creative multiplayer or AI battle experence.)
(The map is very good looking, but is not very creative because its a historical map. It is very detailed, but can not get a 5 unless it is totally ones own creation not a historical map.)

(The overall design of the map is out standing. It looks very much like the actuall rivers and is very very historicly acurate.)
(The story and instructions are great. The section about the meaning of the word is very cool and adds the tid bit every map needs to obtain a 5 in this section.)
I like to play historical maps Nice Work!!!
