El'Crosium Delerium--
--------
Hello! It's finally out, it's taken a while to finish though :D
Thanks to:
Dougleass - for playtesting

Battle Mage Corp - for playtesting
Shir Shpamalot - for playtesting
artofmath - for playtesting
Now that the acknowledgements are done, I'll continue with the map :)
-------
Story:
Within a strike of the whip of the enemy, El'Crosium had fallen to the enemy.
Treaties soon became dust with the news of the capture of the town, a landmark they swore to protect, after that, the Freedom Defenders came to nothing. Lords and noble Sirs begun to leave, they thought of the Freedom Defenders as strong and skillful, although their thoughts changed to weak and dishonourable.
They, were sadly mistaken.
Following the demise of the town of El'Crosium, the few remaining members of the group formed a plan to retake it.
The few lords that were left had little armies - some even had none - but with honour, they strode into battle.
Capturing the darkness that now facaded the lands of the surrounding countryside, those few lords and their small armies felt a sense of Delerium.. those honourable men, fought hard..
--------
Objectives (on normal):
Capture the town of El'crosium
140 cheese
24 swords
24 armour
Eliminate the enemy, by diminishing his army that he throws at you
Market:
Meat
Wheat
Wood
Iron
--------
Hints:
Use your portable shield whilst capturing the town, otherwise, you'll suffer..
You must buy Iron to produce the Swords and Armour..
You will be bombarded by events, so be carefull..
--------
Final notes:
Wood and Wildlife are abundant in this map
The 3 swordsmen you start with are the lords mentioned to arrive at El'Crosium in the story
Included in the .zip file are; the map, a panoramic view of the map, a screenshot of the map and the full story along with acknowledgements and notes :)
Please, enjoy the map and rate fairly :D |

This map looks awesome! I will download as soon as I can. From the screenshots, it looks like that you used many of the eyecandys associated with wooden walls: it must've taken quite a while! Great job! (And I actually read the story, it is quite informative. I liked it!) |

I'm sorry about the oversized text, that's never happened to me before :s
Anyway, it's fixed now hehe
Thanks, ericgolf :D
8 downloads! Woo, go me! :p
It did take a while, but not as long as the cursed playtesting, LordWilliam1234 :p
I'm glad you liked the story, were you talking about the one in the .zip file? :p
Yet again I'm sorry for the oversized text ^.^
Maybe now some more comments will be about the map :) |

I haven't read the story in the zip file yet. I'm talking about the one that you had when the text was WAY oversized. I will read the story once I download: I just have this feeling that it will be good! |

I have finally downloaded the map, and have read the story. When I rate it, I will definitely give it a five: very descriptive, interesting, long: to make a long story short, awesome!
I only hope that I can capture the castle with the few troops that you're provided with... |

My only worry was if people would find the cedeing hard to overcome.. but it is possible to do it without losing any troops :)
And thank you for your comments about the story! :D |

You're welcome! I started the map, and I'm almost done with it. It is excellent so far. Food gets annoying since theives repeatedly steal food from the granary, and bandits cause even more problems. Same with the mad cows and wheat disease events. The invasions aren't too difficult: I can easily defeat them with plenty of archers. Placing tons of killing pits in the only entrance of the castle really helped me out too (it kept the bandits out!) I was really happy that the invading troops didn't destroy my buildings, but they killed off the workers. :( I think that I will try it on the hard level once I beat it on easy.
Great map! Keep up the great work! |

I'm happy to know you're enjoying the map :D
Any criticism, I'll take it in :p
Before you try it on hard, I suggest trying it on Normal first.. the economic goals are harder to achieve, especially if you start them early hehe |

Okay, I will try it on the normal level. The reason that I wanted to play it on the hard level instead is that I thought it would be kinda easy (the easy level is easier than it is in other missions that I've played), but who knows: maybe it will be harder than I expected! |

Well it depends how well you start your castle :) |
