File Details
Map Size: 200x200 (Small)
Difficulty: Normal
Minimap:
"Liar!" You shout over the din, "his claims are rubbish!" You scream at the king on his throne. "Duc Bueregard has found substantial evidence that you had an army waiting to rip me from my throne." Replied the king. "Duc Bueregard is nothing, nothing but a treachorous snake!" You proclaim angrily. The Snake stands in the shadows and grins to himself, amused. He had planned rebbelion against the king, and when things got sour, pinned it on you. That day was a little over a year ago when you, Duc Bel Anor of Italy, an ally in wartime of the British king, were exiled to a small island with your followers. However, one of the Snakes men slipped the truth to one of the king's advisors. The advisor fled to you and begged you to protect him from the enraged serpant, who rides now to finish you and the advisor off. In order to reclaim your lands and honor, the advisor must not die.

Review of Hylian Swordsman’s Exile

Summary- Overall score 3.3
A good, relatively quick, little scenario. Well worth downloading and playing :-)

Playability: 3.5 – Good:
Quite good playability. I enjoyed my game. Some thought has gone into the weapons and defensive availability/limitations.

Balance: 3.5 - Good:
Won on first time Hard. I did not feel that challenged. But it was not a push over either.

Creativity: 3.0 - Average:
Nothing much out of the ordinary. There is an unusual water feature but it does not really work for me. There was some thought put into the limitations on production. The invasions are of an interesting composition. See also map design.

Map Design: 3.0 - Average:
Positives: The landscape was clearly designed with a strategic idea for the map in mind. I liked how you gave me areas to farm in but did not make things too easy for farm placement. The placement of the signpost, for the most part, had the desired effect. Some of the troops arrived on the hill instead but never moved. (I could give you some advice about that – see “additional comments” below.)
Negatives: Not much care was taken in the landscaping. Some holes in the mountains were left for no clear reason. There was no game on the map yet there were pre-placed hunters posts.

Story/Instructions 3.5 – Good:
Quite good, brief, story in the site and in-map. Also a mini-map was provided to help players judge whether to DL or not.

Additional comments: -
Take a bit more time over your next maps. I think you will make some good ones :)
I took some screenshots if you would like to see them. I can also give you a bit of advice about how to achieve [what I think was] your aim of forcing the invasions to arrive in the ravine. Why don’t you start a thread in the Scenario Design forum

I can show you the screenies there.
