This was a fun one that I tinkered around with and would most defenitely be a favorite for fire-lovers. There's tons of pitch to ignite the opposition, which probably makes this an easy siege, but if you don't think when you light the pitch, then it could be disasterous for you. This is easily defendably, but offensively...you beter watch where you step...
If you defend the castle, then this is easy.
If you attack the castle, then it will be hard!
DEFENDING=>
Very nice, there was a good balance of troops and even though you say its easy to defend i still manadged to lose 40% of my defenders. Nice amount of pitch ditches. Thought im not sure of the ones under there start position. if you light that then it is worth playing as you kill most of them whilst there standing around.
ATTACKING=>
Not too difficult, it took me a few attempts to breach the castle, got in on my last attempt with 14% losses only and that was to pitch and pit traps.
OVERALL=>
A really good siege scenario. If you havent played it yet then you should!!!

This could be a very good map, but it contains one of my pet peeves as the scenario begins - your men appear on the map IN a zone of fire from archers.
In all but the rarest of exceptions, there is simply no excuse for this! The most inept Commander would not choose to initially sort out his men within range of the enemy. Forcing me to deploy my men in such a dumb manner is an insult to my intelligence, thus Playability and Map Design suffer a one point loss each.
However, what awaits you after dealing with the rude, and entirely uncalled for, beginning is worthy of higher praise. The story sets the scene well, but could use a bit more depth to reach "5-ness". Game play is good - the small number of troops makes for a fast, fun siege that requires a well thought out attack to win.
