Fixes from prior version 1.0
The "Time Until Defeat" indicator at the top of the map now displays and functions properly. This allowed me to extend playing time to nine years and increase the goal from 4000 gold to 8000 gold in Normal playing difficulty.
Comments on Victory
I completed the map on Normal difficulty 14 months early with a score of 6408. I had 21 apples farms, 19 dairy farms, 4 wheat farms and 4 hunters. I had 6 archers and experienced one wolf attack.
I completed the map on Hard difficulty 6 months early with a score of 10660. I had 43 apple farms, 17 dairy farms, 5 wheat farms and 5 hunters. I had 8 archers and experienced rabbit havoc on a wheat farm, one wolf attack and one bear attack.
Playability: This economic mission is all about growing crops and selling them. It's basic enough map yet excellently put together. I found it quite hard on the normal difficulty and not a challenge at all on easy. I would recommend playing on normal initially and then have a go on the hard setting for a frantic few minutes! The key here is not to panic too much initially, get as many woodcutters huts as you can and try to use the Lord to keep the rabbits at bay. It's a light-hearted map and very playable, with sufficient events to keep you on your toes and checking the gold every minute or so.
Balance: Covers a multitude of skill levels and will appeal to many, from beginners to more advanced players.
Creativity: Not too much by way of creativity, but what it does teach you is to set up a food supply quickly and efficiently.
Map Design: Well laid out, some decent terrain modelling to give it a realistic look. It's a shame that you won't really get to experience any of it as you'll be too busy. It would have easily fitted into a map size smaller. This isn't a criticism though; you don't need that much room to set up the basic food supply.
Story/Instructions: Not bad, a pic is provided in the zip file and an introduction just before the game laucnhes.
A good map, pretty faultless and it's taught me to get back to basics occasionally - worth a look.

I just about gave up on this one. I found it tough to balance popularity while trying to raise 8000 gold. I finished with only three months to spare on normal. I thought that the map could have been a lot smaller, since I didn't end up using most of the map. There was nothing speical about the map, but it served the purpose. I am so glad that I was able to complet the challenge! - Dianna

A mission purely about food and the gold you can make with it by taxes and by selling.
A time limit is imposed, so the map could serve for a contest for everybody. The concept works on every difficulty level: Where to site the granary? Relocating the stockpile? And, above all, which types of food do I choose? Which one brings best harvest? Namely, at the start and later when you want your population to encrease heavily for productivity and for taxes?.
With a right decision and a high fear factor, this scenario is well winable on very hard. (Had some stress selling foodall the time.)
