Evil Lord Atop 1.1
This map actually offered more playability aspects rather than eyecandy, some signposts and this could be a castle builder or an economic mission.
I’ve found the castle design and layout quite interesting – the forms, separate parts, which were connected by narrow roads – paths. A good touch was the garden, with a water canal. There were some geographically realistic objects – like the river, which ends up in the marsh, and the oilrigs are set there. The seacoast was created to be a rapid high plain with resources above. Spreading various buildings created the impression of the separate small villages, like the one with barracks. A few gardens and statues made the main keep more eye-catching
The main problem was the lack of working time. Now don’t get me wrong, your map is fairly good, but eyecandies are supposed to reveal new interesting and unseen features, extraordinary castle designs, etc. The rather empty landscape doesn’t look good either – creating an interesting map design is always a big plus. Try mixing various editor tools features. The story (it’s in the first part) was a nice short narration with some explanations.
A lot could be changed in this map, and I suggest the author to release the third version of this work by adding more interesting features – like mixing heights and creating levels for example, adding some more landscape features, using more simple, but pretty buildings like wells, monuments, gardens etc.
