1) Copy the map file to the C:\Games\Stronghold\Maps directory.
2) Start Stronghold, select military - siege, and away ye go!
This isn't based on any castle that I know of, but the ideas
for the design came from the crusader castle of Marquab, which
is now in Syria. Blackstone isn't quite as awsomely impressive
as Marquab, but it's quite nice. What I'd really like to do is
use the map editor to re-create the mighty Crac des Chevallier
(also in Syria), but for that I'd need a 400*400 size and also
free reign with the terrain tile placement, as in other mission
types (dev team, are you there?). Now that's a castle on which
you could break whole armies, nay, entire HORDES!

HINTS (SPOILER FOLLOWS):
The best method I've found for storming this castle is NOT to
use massed archers, since they get burned alive in vast numbers,
and even if you keep most of them in reserve, they still get worn
down very quickly by the crossbowmen on the towers and the
secondary tar pits. My best method so far is to use a few cheap
numbnuts to set off the tar, then deploy lots of tunnellers under
cover of portable shields, backed up by Knights and heavy siege
engine fire. Don't bother targeting the Lord with siege
equipment, the heavy armour round the keep makes this more or
less impossible. Save the archers to deal with the crossbowmen,
then finally send in the Knights to destroy the gatehous of the
inner curtain wall, then storm the keep!
