Author File Description
File Details
Map Size: 400x400 (Large)
Difficulty: Hard
Not wanting to take any more chances, you and your army decide to pack up and head home. You start moving towards the north hoping to get out of the mountains faster. Finaly, you see the end of the mountains! But thats not all you see. You also see posiably your greatest chalenge yet in the mountains. A city built in a canyon. You try to go around but find the only way out is down the canyon and through the city. The city is heavily guarded but you still have them slightly outnumbered. Make your way through the city and kill their lord.

Castlefreak this will be brought to your attention many times due to the 5 maps you have uploaded, QUALITY of a map is better than the QUANTITY of maps

This one was fairly easy to make, about an hour, The first two took about 3 hours to make all the mountains with paths, the 3rd and 4th only took about half an hour because I used the same map as the 2nd one.
Dembones8 these didnt take 1-3 hours please tell the truth and look at mapmaking 101 the best maps on this site took up to 2 months!
Alien Lord92 (edited by Sulis)

It's easy to ridicule a newer designer's efforts and equally so to push them from this community with irresponsible and totally unacceptable comments like that, Alien Lord. Message removed.

If nobody can be bothered to offer help, don't post a comment. If anyone considers themselves to be above petty remarks, please consider posting a review.

If the map is weak and you know it won't score highly, then be honest and say so, but offer help and advice.

One final thought: I trust that everyone has read the amended Review Guidelines? You know, that thing you must all adhere to, that topic discussed in the Forums a few months back and newsed on the main page. The forums.. the place for general conversation?

Dembones8 but you have to admit aliens right it probably only took 45 mins not 3 hours and whats the point of downloading if the maker doesnt even take our advice and look at map making 101 and update the map and the only way to get downloads to him is to lie and say this took me 3-4 hours i worked really hard but he didnt work hard and it once again probably took 20-45 mins
Devan I can build that in 10 minutes, make a big map with a big canyon, Place some troops and some towers and your done. it looks like some sort of... well a big plain land with much towers and some troops
Tammo VII Lay off it guys, its obviously his first shot at mapmaking in stronghold - many people's first maps are not at all good. Instead of cutting him down, try offering advice and tips.

polind663, if I was you, I wouldnt be discouraged. Try taking a look at the mapmaking 101 section, particularly at the landscaping articles. Try and use all sorts of different terrain types in your maps, not just plain desert. And try to use the smallest brush tool to add detail around things, as well as the equalizer.
Dembones8 Tam its not his 1st shot its his 5TH
