Uhud battle

Author File Description
File Details
Map Size: 160x160 (Tiny)
Difficulty: Normal
Uhud battle was fought as a retaliation by infidel Quraisyis after their defeat at Badr. Muhammad s.a.w decides to face the enemy despite being outnumbered. They did win, but was routed by a reserve Quraisyi cavalry as Muslims try to gather as many loot as possible. No, you won't be routed by any reserve cavalry force in this mission.(I sill don't know how to simulate that.) You begin with 10000 gold, 4 farms, and a larger mass of troops. PLEASE COMMENT A LOT! Oh yes,Enjoy!

Alien Lord92 Quite plain and bad terrain. Not going to dl.
Dembones8 listen You cant use the same map! there has been exceptions if theres been significent changes in the terrain but all you changed is the oasis!
Bartimaeus M mate i agree with the the first too, im no expert but at least i can tell when the map looks good.. and when you say enjoy... well i dont think people will with the map because of the way it looks, starts and the way you play it...
DragonSpawn Agreed with the above

There are too many troops, would cause lag....

and a way to simulate being routed is making a date (EX: Jan 1256) and putting New Invasion, and also New Event (the event being unconditional defeat)So that as soon as the invasion happens, you are defeated.

This would be highly unliked though, because then there would be no way to win
The Hitman Emm, for what lag are you talkin about? >.< This is a single player battle and I think it would run even on the weakest PCs.

Playability- 5
I really enjoyed this map. All the killings, all the deaths, all the cries, all the blood.................................. its fun;). I never experienced a lag while playing this map. I had over 2000 units on the map and still the map worked well. My computer is an old pentium three. All of the killings were fun. I wanted to play to over and over again because of this. I played this map aroubd 3 times.

Balance- 3.0

The balance was ok but you dont need so many swordsmen and archers. I won this map with ease the second time I played it although I lost first time because I didnt know what to do with all the units. If not played correctly you will lose on your first try but on the second try it becomes easy to win.

The story was creative with so many men attacking all of a sudden. This map give me the real feeling of war unlike other maps were attacks come once in a while. The war that took place in this map was more like a real war to me. I saw ruined walls with braziers on them which was creative in giving fire power to the archers.

Map deisgn-2.5
This map was small, it could use some more terraining, the oasis could be better blended. This map had better terrain than I expected. Try to add more terraining. I dont think you will get an idea of what to add to the terrain. In order to get that you will have to look at maps of others that are well terrained.

There was a basic stopry but it really need to be longer. Try to add more things about the two ones fighting.

Additional comments
This map surprised me when I actually tried it out. It was better in the game rather than in the minimap. Please dont base criticism only on minmaps completetly. You shouldnt just say, "I wont download this" If you wont download then just dont download. Instead of saying that all should give tips. Although the scores were a little low I think you are a nice mapmaker and I am sure that over time you will become a good map maker.
DragonSpawn score actually was not low, for a first map, 3.0 is "average" on the rating list, so it's a good score to receive.
