SYR GROOMPI - THE ANNAHLS OFFE UPPEHR SAYNT JONNE - PART ONE - THEE DEFFENSE OFFE NUTLEEY
Welcome to my second uploaded map. I am GrumpyGills, and recently, I uploaded the map Syr Groompees Baylee (SG-B) and this map follows on from that.
In SG-B, "you" was not in the story, as you as a character had no role. It was a prologue, and was showing the home town of "you" In the Annahls of Uppehr Saynt Jonne, it follows this pronoun "you" around the place, unnamed, but doing great deeds.
It has come to the attention, that even if I were to use ~25 years per mission, I'd only be able to do 2 missions 'till "you" died, and that wouldn't serve well, would it. So really, little of the dates mean anything. From the next mission, it shall drop back in time, to around the early 1300s perhaps.
Here is an image of part of the starting position:
The Story:
Packing your belongings, you depart Upper St John on a misty morning in mid February. As you trek up the mountain side, travelling north, you are encountered by wolves. However, these are few and far between, the hordes that plagued Upper St John for years had been the bulk of the population, those that now lived were weary with hunger.
Eventually, your path went down, and soon, you came across the flourishing village of Nutley. Nutley had as of yet, remained largely clear of the pestilence, however recently new graves had been dug for victims.
The village of Nutley, since the downfall of the Groompi family rule, had been plagued by a powerful militia dictator, Terrence of Chatsfield, and his band of thugs.
They yearned for someone with intellect to lead them out of their troubles, and you came across the scene with a tired bunch of friends. Your friends took control of the town's males and trained men in the art of war, while you went to see the finances.
If you succeed at Nutley, by proving your point and repelling the attacks Terrence sends, then you have plans to re-unite the land. The land of Syr Groompi!
Victory Conditions:
You must gather Ale, Bows and Spears, inebriate the peasants of Nutley to null their suffering, and repel the attacks of Terrence of Chatsfield (the Rat).
Have Fun!
If you have the time, it would be great for some reviews, just so I could see how I could improve upon my map.
If at all I need to update the map, if the conditions are to hard/easy, then post here, and I will update the map. I really want you all to have a thoroughly enjoyable, and if possible, medieval-esque experience playing the Syr Groompee maps. |

Thankyou for the kind comments. I try! :)
In any case, I will be uploading SG - Thah Hohwley Lahnnd, a Crusader Freebuild, this afternoon, and may verily get started on my most recent idea for an SH1 Economic mission, set in the high alpine, snow-covered mountains.
If I have time (I have various other requirements - SH doesn't come first (most of the time) in my life - to attend to) I will also upload the eye-candy maps of Syr Groompees Cassell, Lahhnnd and Fohrest.
I hope you all like it!
