Surviving With Nothing v3.0

Author File Description
File Details
Map Size: 400x400 (Large)
Number of Players: 8
Balance: Unbalanced
Difficulty: Hard
Long long time ago, you were the great king over Jungle Island.
But the global warming worked here as well and your great Jungle Island became the Dusty Island.
Your loyal sovereigns, who managed your economy, allied themselves against you, because they thought it was your fault that the most oases got lost. And now the time has come - its time to show that usurpers whose the one and only king on Dusty Island!
Demonstrate them that a real king doesnt need anything to rul or to win!
Will you survive with nothing except your faith?

Play it 7 vs 1 and play on the mountain or its boring.

There are hidden oases in the valley.

Thats the third and nearly final version!
Its very hard to play! Please post improvements!!

Hypernova90 Well I can say it is a good improvement from your first Surviving with Nothing map. I only think that the transition between the sea and the land could be a bit more realistic. Use some more beach and rocks to make it look more realistic. But still very nice and tricky concept though.

i will consider your tipp in v3.0 (which is planned now ^^ )
Venomrider Good to see a wanting to improve :),however, you don't have to submit the updated map separately, you can just hit the update button in the corner of your minimap's area and replace the map you want to ''polish up'' as it were.

The Hitman (edited by Sulis)

Good map, really challenging, but I'd advice you to update your map, instead posting new... There's a tab for updated maps, so it don't worry, it won't be forgotten :)

Dragol lol awesom map
but how is anything acully supposed to be done in this map? You cant sell sand xD. i just see the rocks to be to little and too close to the enemy base
Hypernova90 Playability: 5
This map is a lot of fun to play. Simply challenging and it will keep you on the top of your chair. It is hard, but possible. When you finally have taken victory it gives such great satisfaction. This is a map that you will have to play over time to increase your skill.

Balance: 3
Well ofcourse it is unbalanced as you say. What could I expect else then surviving with nothing. It is more a challenge and it is meant to be unbalanced. I'm afraid I can't punish you for this aspect ;) I'm neutral so I will give you a 3.

Creativity: 4
I haven't seen maps like this, but I think the idea isn't just good enough to give you a 5 for this. The map didn't have exceptional stuff either besides that there are very few recourses.

Map Design: 2.5
Again this is something I can't punish you for. Were there is to survive with nothing I could expect a bald landscape. But the transition between the sea and the land could be better, and there were some other points, but nothing really was really ugly. Use some more rocks ( not boulders ofcours ) next time to fill up the "baltness"

Story/Instructions: 2
Well you gave a very short story. Write a longer story next time. This will show your effort in the map and also gives an idea of what the map really represents.

Additional Comments:
This map is really fun, but if you are planning to update it, you should mostly focus on map design and story. Good work my lord !
