Playability: Generally good. Nothing wrong with this as such but could do with being a bit more of a challenge. Kept me interested, though, and it was a decent siege to play. Enhanced by a good map layout.
Balance: As above, it wasn't overly difficult to win on the normal setting and I played a few times on easier and more difficult levels. It can be a bit more of a challence on the hard setting, as I won with something like 70% troop loss on normal. Still a bit taxing, though. Nice to see random spike pits and pit traps as opposed to masses of areas that can wipe out your troops and inhibit troop movement.
Creativity: A decent idea and well thought out. It's clear that effort has been put into this map overall and this is relected in a good quality map.
Map Design: Terrain looks good, fairly realistic and no obvious crude modelling. However, the 5 score here goes to the castle, which is very well done. Okay, so it's not the most difficult castle to attack, but in line with the story it works very well. Some excellent use of stairs and walls. The castle just looks very good!
Story/Instructions: A bit lacking in content and substance, but the story is still well written.
In summary: A splendid effort, enjoyable to play and certainly recommended, especially for those that like a good map design as well as out-and-out warfare. Yet another map that has given me ideas! Good, solid design.
