Another map, another review... It's a better map than the others, but there's still defaults.
The objective of the map is to produce some pitch from the oil. So, we can think the map must be quite long (we have to produce more than one hundred of pitch, after all), but, in fact, because we can buy the pitchx in the marketn, I finished the map quickly, just after the second assault. We don't have any problems with the food, or with the production of money. The defense is already made in a good position, because we are protected by the mountains, so we don't have to add some stone, just to add new troops in the two towers and in the gatehouse. The rush at the beginning is a good idea, but the problem is that the second assault isn't very strong. It seems to be like the first. So, if we can at the beginning destroy the first assault, the second assault cannot be very dangerous. I don't know how are the other assaults, I finished the map quite quickly.
Well, what I like here is the rush at the beginning. Yet, the difficulty of the map is balanced by the possibility to buy pitch in the market, a bad idea. Moreover, the second assault don't follow a proportional logic, because it's the same troops as the first assault, so there isn't any problem to destroy them.
Producing pitch is a good objective, and the assaults which come quickly can make an intensive map, where we have to produce all the time some new troops in order to defend the castle against a lot and lot of soldiers... But, well, this is not the casde here. We can conclude the map shortly with producing money. I think it's the major problem of this map, and it's just a litte default : buying pitch in themarket. But, well, this little default is very embarrassing in this map.
Map Design: 4.5
As all the other maps, the design is quite good. I like the mountains which protect us, and the marecages which are in all the map. I haven't any reproach here about what you've done.
No story, anda poor instruction informing us that we are probably going to be attacked. "1.5" is the best point I can give here.
There's progress about the difficulty of your map, but it's still unsifficient. Anyway, I think you don't like writing stories... It's quite emberrassing, especially in a campaign. Generally, in a campaign, the story is important ; it gives links between the differentsmaps in the campaign. Here, in your campaign, we don't really have a feeling of continuity between the maps...
