After "Rocky Desert of Paav", this is the new map from you I test. I played again a Sheriff, giving him 40 000 Gold. I don't know if you read my reviews before doing your maps, before I find the same defaults all the time.
As in "Tharaam", the IA don't have a lot of place to develop himself, especially in the position on the top, the keep being very close to some rocks. So, I put the Sheriff in the plains, and he can make all his castle without any problem. Anyway, there's one position on two which isn't recommended for the IAs. The position on the plains is quite pleasant, because the Sheriff doesn't make a little castle like the Rat or the Snake, but a quite big castle, and he can put everything. So, his castle was very close to mine. I can use mangonels against him. Therefore, this map is, like "Rocky Desert of Paav", more a mangonel war than other things. It's not a problem for me. The problem comes from the rocks. Moreover, the rocks aren't very beautiful, they are especially embarrassing, taking a large place. Otherwise, developing the castle is quite easy. The resources are quite close, so the food, the stone or the iron come quickly.
Well, I don't think a 1vs1 is a good idea for this map. It's possible to create a third IA in the South, instead of the ruins, even a fourth IA in the very South, instead of the lot of rocks. Indeed, the South of the map doesn't have a real interest, because the keeps are in the North, so the South is just beautiful... But I think it's possible to give another interest to the South. Anyway, it's not a default, just a suggestion to make better your map. About the difficulty, the player on the North has a avantage defensive point, whereas the player on the South has more space and resources. So,n the map is clearly unbalanced, but, against IA, the Human player must go in the hill, because a IA can't do normally his castle, because of the rocks. Quite embarrassing...
Not very original, I must admit. Keep in mind my suggestion about adding some others Players. I think thismap can support easily 4 Players at least.
Map Design: 3.5
The ruins in the South of the map were quite beautiful, but the rocks which aredispatched don't really give me a kind of beauty. They were just fat, similar, and quite embarrassing on the hill. Moreover, the contours of the hill were quite simple, but not ugly.
No story, and no instructions. It's quite embarrassing here, because I think it could be better to tell the Player the position on the hill isn't recommended for an IA...
In fact, it's the same thing than "Rocky Desert of Paav" : a good work, but with some defaults.
