The king has summoned you into the wilderness for rest arfter proving yourself worthy in the war at hand against Duc De Puce(Rat). The small castle is situated on a rocky island jutting out into the sea. Housing is limited, and so the troops you brought along made their camp within a coastal village to the west. However, news has been brought that the Rat is heading your direction. All you can do is wait and defend to the last man.

P.S. This map is merely a siege, but you're given a bit more time to bring your troops into the castle and plan your defense!

Just a reminder: I've seen 16 downloads for my first map and still no comments(unlike RhOdZi). Please tell me what's needed to be improved on and so forth.

It's done. So, this is what I think about your work.

Playability: 3
I think this map is more a siege than other thing. Even in a siege, we can have to move some troops. Here, we have nothing to build, and the assault comes very quickly. We have to use the troops in order to kill all the macemen and spearmen from the Rat. There isn't a lot of thing to do, and to speak about the map : we have nothing to do, excepted moving troops, like in a siege battle. I've here to put all my troops at the front and the castle, and next to dispatch them in order to kill the other macemen in the other fronts. But, well, it's not a very interesting invasion scenario.

Balance: 4
The assault is quite strong, and, if we do nothing, we probably lose. At the end of the assault, the last macemen can make a hole in my wall, but they were killed by my knights. The difficulty is normal, but it's not really a invasion scenario, but a siege game.

Creativity: 3.5
A short siege... Here, I consider your map as a siege. What could be original is the fact that we have to move the troops in the town at the left of the map to the castle. Yet, there isn't a lot of things which are quite original.

Map Design: 4.5
Quite beautiful, with some hills, forests, marecages, a village, and beautiful coasts... I've nothing to say here about the design of the map ; it's beautiful.

Story/Instructions: 3
A short story, with few instructions given iun the Topic.

Maybe better as a siege map...

Thank you for the review barbarius! I will keep this in mind as I'm working on a siege map involving adding a picture with MS Photodraw. I'll learn patience sooner or later, especially in mapmaking! :)

Good how e have to send troops to castle even though the spearmen are not needed on very hard it is still easy but still i like this map,it was fun while it lasted

Balance: 3
Hear we have a weak attack force even on hard,the battle is fun though,My advice (even though i have not posted maps)would to make a stronger attack force to make the battle more exciting

Creativity: 4
Hear we have a small islnd fortress which is cool,I aslo like the Little campside next to the coast to make it seem like the troops live their.

I love your coast line and castle,I like this map with the common lake and beatiul coast,Brill job.

Story/Instructions: 3.5
The story from hear could continue and grow to be quite good,depending on how you use it.You have no Tips or such because you dont really need tips at all on this map,so the tips dosent lower your level in this because they are not required.
