That Is It (Night).map
Is the first map which was submited here. And it looked very poorly. So...
That Is It (Day).map
So I update it and named them as Night and Day becouse its obvious why, as you look at minimaps :]
Yes, this is it, in the meaning that a known concept is carried out in an extreme manner. It's familiar from some historical missions of SHC: you begin with the skeleton of a castle, shaped somehow arbitrary. All goods you need are distributed in the area around.
You will HAVE To use them excessively and rush your economy because what's rather extreme here are the invasions to come - the invaders have a real chance to be trouble to you. Good: there are 4 or 5 sign posts, so it isn't predictibale where the raids will come from. "Bad": TwoDie loves clever restraints, so e.g. you can only train archers and ballistas (no xbows, no shields).
AND be prepared to face almost all bad events that may strike your town ...
To the scenery: the oasis is worked out excellently - you need trees, you need space for fields. The wider landscape turns out rather poor but ok, you haven't got much leisure to look around if not for enemies.

As you can see here a little bit more detail just makes a map many times better, updated version is very good

This is it (Day)
I'm well accustomed to playing hard maps, but this new version almost drove me nuts with its surprises. An entertained me on a seldom way.
Lost my five quarries + tethers 3 times: to enemy fire ballistas, to bandits (I decided not to waste my melee troops), and to a fire event.
The invasions are so big, varied and come close to each other, so that all parts of the maps, all industry buildings outside the walls and all sides of the castle get to view parts of the battles.
Only power playing helped me to survive well, a determined build-up of the economic life. This path leads from a decent point, along the many severe restrictions both for trading and for unit types. Permanent adjusting of rations and taxes included.
The result are huge and exciting battles. All the Crusader troops types appear on the scene (the cathedral is given). Fighting was so close, I had no time for taking screenshots.
