Choose one castle out of three to attack and settle in. Improve the castle design and defend it from an angry enemy crowd.
This is the second part in a series of tightly connected missions. It appears to be quite similar to part 1, but as you will soon discover, it is more critical to make the right strategic decisions.
There are a few really needed pieces of instructions below the story. Please read the “Task” section after the story line.
(This ‘Past’ section is the same as in the game AbaquaMines1).
By thunder and the cross-eyed holy goat! That Irish ale is certainly the best stuff on earth. Unfortunately, your ship captain had too much ale and ran the ship aground on the approach. You prioritized rescuing the ale and food supply (in that order!). You managed to get some pitch to the shore, but the stone you brought all the way from England is forever gone at the bottom of the sea. You also managed to rescue some of the broken pieces of the ship, which give you quite a few good oak planks.
You almost cursed your troops when you got the bad news that two macemen, two swordsmen, and two pikemen lost their weapons as they escaped from the ship. You stop yourself from making the situation worse, and enthusiastically said:
- “Well, at least we saved most of the ale. Long live the Queen! The ones who lost their weapons, let the engineers teach you how to make a shield from those bushes over there.”
You immediately order some of your troops to start looking for suitable boulders on the shore to at least get some desperately needed stone supply that you need to improve the castle you plan to capture. Of course you can’t really start a quarry operation, but your men understand the desperate situation and do a pretty good job in finding a few suitable rocks.
