Map Size: 300x300 (Medium)
Difficulty: Easy
This land is near barren, but a castle has been built here to profit from what goods may be traded. The local war lords have seen this place and seek to claim your taxes for their own. Even in this time of trouble, the King demands you supply ale to pay for his knights' services.


1) You don't have any woodcutters yet because they've been busy building that lovely little ship and dock area.

2) The river/sea is all moat. It can't be redug because it is intended to be a one-off defense, with its own quirks.

3) It is marked 'easy' because it would be well worth attempting on 'normal' first time, without serious risk of failure. This does not mean you can expect to win without managing things well.

4) Without intention, but adding to the balance of the play, and for some obscure reason I can't fathom, all your trees will die (relatively) soon. I didn't mean for this to happen but I don't care to change it. If it bothers you, cut the trees down before it happens.

You can *purchase* wheat. If you missed that, you're not being thorough.

younghappy The reason that the trees are dying is that you have too many shrubs.

In SH, there is a sprite limit that only lets you place 1500 trees/shrubs. When you place too many of either, the trees will start dying out.

Playability: 2.5
At the start we have no wood or stone at all, just little bit food my food went out fast and i couldn't get it more becouse you can make only hunters and can't trade food expect hops.. so i just tried another approach. At the start i deleted all food production and
weapon production buildings and make brewerys alot, then i buyed hops 50 becouse u needed 50ale to win, then i had 2 years for setting thefood production and made some archers for incase of attack, yeh there came one attack but
i crushed it losing 0%troops, so after the battle my brevery workers made the remaining
ale and i won the map.

Balance: 2
I give you balance only two becouse the map was too easy for me, (my opinion, for newer player it can be more difficult to figure out the way) since i lost 0%troops, there's enough proof that this map was not hard for me.

Creativity: 3.5
Here is your best points, i gave you here more becouse the bridge is actually creative and big, the stairs and 3 small gatehouses
make and great bridge but you could have spended more time on the castle to make everything as quality as the large bridge.

Map Design: 2.5
There wasn't many details some rocks, and a huge place filled with bushes didn't look good for me but that was your design and i appreciate for trying to make it look good, but godda admit it's kinda unique. If the Castle would have been improved and more details set, this could have been alot better.

Story/Instructions: 2.5
Story is a king who wants ale for his knights or something that's about it 2.5 for that, but it's alot compared to no story at all, but story is not creative enough for better points

Additional Comments:
You should playtest more your maps i can see that they are not playtested. Also you should think more what looks too unrealistic
spend more time on the map design, and playbility of your maps so they increase
creativity and balance rightaway for sure, and try more creative story next time and a little longer, and keep the maps coming.

RhOdZi You do well on Your ideas,I love the Bridges and Crossings on this map that is a good example,but you need to go into more detail on your sceneary,Overall good keep going

The barren-ness of the land is intentional. I can't just fill it up with rocks (due to considerations of the 1000 stone trick).

Also, if you can't trade wheat, I'll reload the scenario. Look more carefully at your marketplace to confirm this. Thankyou for reminding me about the chance of using ale.

I don't believe in making maps too difficult at normal level - this usually makes the gameplay utterly suicidal at very hard, especially for an unusual castle like this with multiple invasions.

I playtested it at very hard, and it is too hard to defend once they've brought down any gatehouses. If you are playing at very hard, they *will* get your gatehouses down.

As a side note, the trees died off before I added the weeds. 'Nuff said.
