Here is the promissed review mate.
So I first like to start that if people take their time and work hard this map can be really enjoyable. The playability was really good I can try this map over and over again without getting bored which is a great thing. The balance is also well. The spaces were sufficiant and all the AI had a good chance to expand. I played against both wolves. My partner was Richard who unfortunately didn't do well but you can't win 'em all. My castle design was like the caliphs and it payed off good. With large fortifications many archers + ballistae. There wasn't even one siege tried on me as I killed all the troops before they even came close to my castle. Killing the wolves requires vast amounts of siege equipment + constant reinforcements. At the end of the game I had a staggering 40000 gold and it was a really tough challange. The creativity however wasn't something new. So the score is lower but if you make large stories and possibly add features like ruins or 1000 stone press the map becomes quite uniqe ;) As for the map design. The entire landscape was well layed unfortunately it was kind of unrealistic. The oasis weren't so well made but they are one of the hardest tools in the edditor to master so don't worry. You'll soon start to feel how they should look. Eg. it looks fake when one part of the grass ends and another starts right ;) you can correct this by interlocking the grass types together as you would with your fingers ;) As for the mountain it looked beautiful great job I liked it a lot. Mabye you could add more bushes or some bouldiers and rivers? Oh the rivers. Well mate I don't think such type of rivers excist. This is the sea tool, but I'm not lowering your score because of the sea. You may have done it by mistake. But know that the dark blue water is sea :D The sand bridges however didn't look realistic. Actually they looked good but it's unlikely that such type exist so that was a problem. As for the story I think it was a well managed piece of work. Not really original but very good. Skirmishes don't normally require large stories so you may want to write a bit more or just use more poetic language you know synoyms and etc :D
All in all I think it was a well managed map and I liked it a lot. I even made a screnie:
Haha thanks Roshko I took in everything you said and I will make time to improve that map. I tried it as a FFA map but I think it works better as a 2v2 map. Yeah about the sea I just liked the look of the water and the river looked more like a moat to me :)
Yeah the description was maxxed out with the story but i guess i should of added less history :)
I also like my maps with plenty of resources and heaps of space to build massive castles thats just the way i like playing hahaha
Oh also cheers for the screenie and the review man i really appriciate it =)

No prob man I had lots of fun playing it. I think you did a good job dude with the space. Since the wolves didn't have problems with their large castles I think it was really nicely designed. :P
Can't wait for the next one. A skirmish possiblly?
