We have determined the point of entry of the pigs invasion force in our land.
It is actually via a small wooden bridge which is unfortunately enough the only bridge unguarded by a garrison of our forces.
A group of engineers have already been dispatched to that location and have begun the construction of a small outpost.
Although the construction have been hampered by small raiding parties of the pigs, the outpost have successfully been constructed.
Your orders are to fortify the outpost by a much troops and traps as possible.
Do not presume that you have enough time to fortify thoroughly.
This is because our scouts have seen a second large invasion force marching towards the bridge.
Furthermore the king has given permission to use our secret weapon; boiling oil.
Use this wisely to fend off the attackers.
Also a group of engineers have reassembled an old trebuchet that could be handy in tossing cows and stones on the enemy.
If you have successfully defeated the pig’s forces then by the king’s orders build an inn to reward the troops with ale.
We start the game needing to place a granary and replace some buildings which goes with the story line wich you put with this. The invasions come in little time which is a good thing to me because when their is like along wating time esepically if you have being ready for the insvasions for a year or two and you have built up your city you just get board,The only time you can really have an a long wating time is in a pyok map,Any way i like this its short simple and even out invasions could have made the inasions longer tho .
The balnce on this was well the objectives were not too high but could of had a higher objectives when the invasions finished i sold all my bows and spears making alot of gold so bought about 30 ale even though the objective for the inns only required 1 barrel of alle:) so that way you could have but the population higher. In the invasions you could of made the invasions longer which i mensiond earlier but also made them stronger. So you could improve on invasions on how strong they are so make them stronger like more macemen less spearmen as the oil destoyed them and the objectives higher. You could of put in things to slow down them progress of popualtion like plauge.
What i also like in this map id that we own half the map and the map divided by a river and a bridge connecting them sides together the base maybe could of being a bit away from the bridge becasue as they cross they are all crushed into that samll space so het burnt to death. And if the main part of the map of attacking point of such ,that is the bridge you may could make it more creative add more editor tricks in their.

The map deseign is natrul in the hills i dont think some of the oil holes that you placed fitted in too well with this map so maybe make them look more natrul.I have nothing to say but its lovly with a typical river woods and how the animals fit in with it.
well that is a short story but is short and simple and does not ake you read for ever but to get a good in the story it has to be a string story which is well supported and long and detailed. But your is a basic map so may not need the most deatailed story as it upon includes the pig so he does not need to be explained ovarall its good.
Nice short basic map i bet you wasnt expecting a reveiw on the first day you released it lol.Anyway good work keep going.

Nice idea, the game being hard to loose though.
The "bridge" is rather a broad-way. This makes it difficult to find a layout for wood traps there. So the fight amounts to the clash at the weak gate. "Gate guardians". A somehow complex construction. Not easy to place the towers around for the oil-bearing engineers and more shields + archers. (Good the restriction of pitch traps.) If this line holds, the game is won.
Having survived the second, big invasion you have all time of the world to fulfill the requests.
