In this land of Drumburr your just 1 of 3 Lords, trouble is the iron and stone are up for grabs wood and farmland a little scarce, the good part is all 3 Lords will have the same trouble, all but the ones who get it first and can hold it.
The land is uneven and hard to build on but you will find enough room to set up your castle, build your economy, and take care of your defenses, there are no choke points, the only spot that may seem defendable is near the river, you will each have 2 outposts 1 of both types.
Even though I don't play multiplayer I thought I would make this map for human players, I tested all of the spots with the AI Lords and most of them will work in all of the spots but some do have trouble, so if you do want to play against the AI Lords it does play fine.
Feedback on how this map plays with human players would be appreciated.
Playability: 4.5
(Another highly entertaining map by Sir_Vet.I played it against allied Wazirs' and had a constant struggle keeping my castle from going up in flames(i did play against the other AI'S-i recommend the stronger ones,even though they may have difficulty building their signature castles.Against human players,well i played a coople of friends and totally overwhelmed them-i think they are'nt fully aware of the outposts,i hope to play against a more seasoned player when i get chance but i'm very busy with crusader 1.1 on my main pc.)
Balance: 3.5
(I've given it a mid score because of the proximity to the enemy keeps and those ouptposts!-VERY hard indeed but great fun,the constant struggle to keep control of the situation,guarding against slaves who just love a barbecue-i lost my quarry several times but i recovered and visited destruction tenfold on the enemy.Farmland is very scarce and you have to protect it in order to feed your people-you could buy food but where's the fun? If you fancy a challenge then give this a try.)
Creativity: 4
(This reminds me of 'Iron hill' by the same creator which is a great map.The landscape is harsh and unforgiving,collecting the goods needed here is not easy,if this were an invasion map,you'd be in for a rough ride.
)
Map Design: 4.5
(The designer has used the editor very well here as i've already said it is reminiscent of 'Iron hill.' You can see that this was once a fertile plain,perhaps even a small river ran through it many years before.Farmland is very scarce and you will be fighting for every inch.Mineral supplies are well placed and hard to get-the enemy see to that,playing against a human and it gets even better,thanks to the outposts.Overall a rugged terrain and an unforgiving enviroment add to the atmosphere. )
Story/Instructions: 2.5
(Well there is no story as such,just a brief outline of what the player should expect- a challenging map with little in the way of farmland,having to fight for every inch and even end up losing it,the outposts see to that!)
Additional Comments:Another of those must have maps.thanks for sharing this gem.
