Zimba Two
The adventure of Jonas Sprye
This is part 2 of Zimba, I posted the story from Zimba in the zip file and you can scroll down to the break and find Zimba 2.
The Zimba map had you getting to the last stand and gathering some food and weapons, now the story continues with you having to use the troops you have left and the new troops you trained with the new spears and bows you made. Plus you will have a few resources to help a little, your still on the same hill but this time the Arabians have come to you in mass while you were gathering your goods, if you want to win you must kill 1000 Arabians, oh and don't worry there will be enough, they will come. I wish you luck.
READ THIS ! When you look at the briefing panel it says to kill the Wolf, your goal is to kill 1000 Arabians. So if you want to see the victory forget the Wolf just kill Arabians, and don't worry they will come.
Enjoy my creation.

Sir_Vet, you have my congrats. In this mission you invented "close combat" anew. It's not just a sequel but it - using the same kind of scripting - provides a fully new setting.
You need close attention into every direction, a close look towards the signposts to recognize which troop kinds to concentrate where for response. The scarce economic situation makes every board of wood count for a lot (was it your intention that hunter's huts and pitch rig don't work?).
In fighting there's almost "naked" confrontation, the fronts come close to each other, some metres make the difference, some units may run back while others stand behind them.
The lions come in silently (perhaps no message is announced because the event starts the same date as the first invasion?). The map with large areas unpassable for humans appear to be the right homeland for these creatures. Once my Lord got into such a horde :(
... so I've not finished the task yet, writing this helps me to relax.
Edit: Returned to the mission and still found it tough because it is so dense. First the lions, then the invasions come over the viller like rain. The key is to stay cool and keep standing. In March 1223, the bloody request was fulfilled.[Edited on 01/29/09 @ 09:17 AM]

Hi Peter, Thank you, I'm always trying to invent some thing new, to bad I couldn't show you what I've just made. As for the map, the resources have been gathered in the first map now it's time to use the resources to get ready for a hard day of battle.
If you want to keep buildings working you have to disband troops or put other buildings to sleep, and if you place a new pitch rig make sure it is clear of the entrance or the worker can't get to it. As far as the lions go they are pushed in ahead of the Arabians and I scripted them one month ahead of the enemy so it should announce them.
My plan when I started this map was to kill off Jonas at the last stand, just a reminder that not all great adventurers got into the history books, but I just couldn't do it so I found a way to give Jonas and his small band a chance to get home, as you have found out it's not much of a chance but a chance none the less.
If you want some idea of how to win this map, let me know and I could post a spoiler.
Lord Dredde so you have saved the day for Jonas, way to go! how many men did you have at the end? |

Hi Lord Dredde the story has 6 men returning to the ships, so it worked out just right.
Thank you for the answer.
