This is my first economic map.It has a story, too.
Story:
You have a father. You asked him if you can go with him to the adventure of finding the ancient runes of the vikings.Your father wants to test you.He wants you to collect some goods for his castle on the journey. He has bringed you to an island with the goods you need to give him.
Objectives:
Collect 100 Bread for food in the next castle.
Collect 100 Stone for buildings walls for the next castle.
Collect 200 Wood for building the inside buildings for the next castle.
Collect 30 Iron for creating some armors and swords in the next castle.
Make your Keep enclosed for surprises,in case of retreat.
A little fix:I have fixed the bug that you do not have the lord in the beginning.I also added
some crossbowmen, pitch and caged war dogs very near the entrance of the castle, for extra protection.I also have sold the 70 stone that was in the stockpile, and i highered the count of wood.
BUG fix: i fixed the bug of the lord not in the castle.
Chapter 2 Coming Soon!
P.S. Everyone is welcome to PM or write here some help on the next map.How about giving me some kind of,well, how about some landscape help? |

gvazdas, unless I am very much mistaken this is a Crusader map but you have submitted it under the Stronghold section. You will need to email ericgolf who is the Downloads Manager. He will move it for you to the correct section. |

Hello gvazdas,
to be honest, your map disappointed me. There's no problem at all to bring in the required goods. While you're building the usual economy you get them just by itself (only some more iron mines needed) and within no-time.
Also the fulfillment of requests is not shown up by a sword sign and consequently there's no message of victory to end the game.
Nice you know the trick of separating the stockpile from the keep.
If you like try the economic scenario "The Order" to experience the challenges there (nature, bandits, bad events, micromanaging the economy). |

I was expecting for everybody to tell this.As being my first map, took me not long so i do not have the experience of creating them.In the future,i may make a map that will be very good. Also, since nobody "likes" my maps,i don't know for will i create chapter 2.I'm creating, even more realistic. In a work of a few days, might be a good map.I will have to focus,so i might be offline.
P.S. i changed the difficulty to easy, just to know that this is easy. Also, because of no danger, this is just a TEST to show your skill to your father. He have you an island, just for some resources.I will make the next map harder,so that it will look like a journey to the runes.[Edited on 10/02/08 @ 07:42 AM]

Great you keep on trying. Have fun to see yourself making things better as soon as you tackle them harder. And I'm looking forward for your chapter 2! |

Do you need a river? Does the land feed the animals? What is your idea of the story and the aims of the mission? Can you imagine the course of gameplay? Which landscape fits then?
Perhaps you take paper and pen for outlines and notices. Or - as I somehow think - just play other maps you find interesting to get to know the possibilities of building maps. |

I made a little story:
As you have been traveling for 2 days and 2 nights, you have spotted a viking ship nearby. You did not want to attack them, because they had huge force. You have stopped on an nearby island,it is very, very hot in there. Some of your soldiers fear of lions,as everyone knows, lions like heat. You have sent an scout ship back to the old castle,to check out if everything is OK.
In Chapter 2,you will be playing as your father.
You have some troops to command in scouting the map.
Chaos!:
You have been ambushed by hundreds of lions!!!Kill them all before they destroy your ballistas!!! |
