The happy few who play SH1 multi will be happier with this overworked map. "The Tacitian" has been among the more interesting and playable maps of a short stock. Its title does not only refer to the leading of the military, but means a painstaking economising of the resources as well. There is a deliberately implemented shortage of trees in the original map.
The results can be experienced as drawbacks. For wood you're heavily dependent on the market, something often exercised first in Crusader deserts. Furthermore, an European landscape almost empty of trees doesn't look nice.
Dumptrailer2 has succeded in making an attractive map more convenient for the advanced SH1 multi playing style. I welcome 4 out the 5 alterations he lists in description.
Criticism I'd have only two. The new version is saved in a diagonally different orientation than the original. I belong to those who are confused by this and may loose a safe start.
In the middle of the map the stones deposit has been removed. I found this spot a nice one to fight for, a reward for the player who has the courage to attack.
Thanks for this smoother version. It helps to make SH1 multi playing more attractive.
