The Map: Took me AGES and AGES and AGES to do this map. I'm proud of this map, it's one of the few I'VE actually tested AND completed. Not that difficult (for the strategic and experienced) but for beginners and the non-strategic I have created I walkthrough.
Author's Notes: I recommend playing on normal, because even on easy you don't get the correct amount of troops. And believe me, EVERY soldier counts.
Story: It was a windy night. There was fog blocking out everything. The crew were cold and paranoia was setting in..
"Why do we have to be in this place anyway?"
"King's orders. We need to remove this island of anyone getting in the way and question the lord; Snake duc Beauregard."
"We kill him. Send his head back to wherever he came from."
"But how do we know where he came from."
"That's why we're here. We take out the guards, the Mercidarous takes the leader. Simple."
"But captain, what if anything goes wrong? We'd be stranded here with a bunch of loons!"
"Is that what you think of the Mercidarous? Sailor, listen to me. That ships has been on so many trips she creaks when she's in port. That's how old she is. But you don't need a great ship to be great, now do you? How do you think I became great? Hmm? Bribe the authorities? Ha! Now, get back to your bunk before you and your bunk end up overboard... Dismissed!"
That sailor didn't have a chance. A night-arrow came flying in. In the back, out the front. He was only 17. That was the beginning of the end. Since nobody could see anything, the crew were forced to put on their lights. By doing so, they gave away their position. As the Reprisal neared the port on Beauregard Island, the crew spotted the location of the enemy mangonels. They fired. We fired. Then it was over. The Reprisal crashed into the port and exploded into a giant ball of flame. A flaming arrow hit a rum barrel, igniting all the others. Human pleasure, ultimetely causing their own death. Lucky though, the Merciadrous was able to land without resistance; the explosian had wiped out the Reprisal crew as well as the port-guard. It also gave away their location...
