Lal Qila, or the Red Fort, is a major monument in Agra, India (see map for further details).

The fort is, as far as detailable, historically accurate - though the battle is not a strict re-enactment of the 18th century Sikh revolt, it is based on it.

Technical note:
Due to software limitations and my inability to script in hexadecimal, the bricks have been left in the original grey colour (I *did* try). Anyone who wants to rectify this, please upload the patch to utilities! It would be lovely to have proper red sandstone. I'd willingly make the textures, if only I knew how.

Map Design2.5
Playability: 3
This map does not engage me too much, it gets somewhat boring at times. The player does not have to do too much to obtain victory, just an average amount that does not take much thinking. I am not motivated to replay it, it seems to work the same way each time.

Balance: 3.5
Balance is the highlight of the map. The troops can break down the walls fairly well with seige and the player must use resources available to win. There are enough enemey to cause some serious trouble without immediate action and a little bit of good troop management.

Creativity: 3
This map is bland as can be in the creativity department. No true story, or creative design. Whats good is the towers at lower height so they are almost level with the walls. Other than that, nothing is super exciting or fresh or visually appealing.

Map Design: 2.5
Plain is the best word to describe map design here. There are only some scattered trees, not even any shrubs. The terrain looks faked and forced, not natural and flowing. You could have used different types of ground like dirt to mix it up, and thrown in some stones and shrubs for a more natural feel. The map was also flat. I doubt it was perfectly flat at the castle, it would be better next time to throw in at least a little elevation to make it more visually appealing. The water aspects need work too.

Story/Instructions: 3
The story composes of historical background information on the castle, which is somewhat interesting with the use of a few native words for some structures and throws in some random dates. But it could be a lot better. For example, an extended description of the sikh revolt or perhaps you could have made a a fictional account of the revolt from the point of veiw of a real life person involved.

Additional Comments:
Very average map. Next time spend a little more time on your terrain and design, a little bit more effort would have made this map much better.
