In another time, the valley was a thriving place of peace. Then The Snake moved in and dammed up the river, and barred use of it from anyone else. The King sent men to kick the snake out of the river, but they were ambushed. Only 2 swordsmen and a single knight survived the battle. Now the local settlement must raise its own army to rend the snake from the valley...
Playability is the best part of the map. Starting with little troops there is a lot of freedom in the ways of attacking the castle. The player can get the eco going, or defenses, or try to make a whole bunch or troops fast. The problem with the playability is that the invasions are too far apart and it is not that hard to fend them off. If they were more frequent then taking the castle would become that much more difficult.
Balance was alright, but it could be better. The enemy invasions were semi-weak and did not pose a threat. The castle could be picked apart by archers/crossbows en masse so that was not super hard either. Just average balance here.
There is some creativeness in the map with the bridges over the river but not much else. The castle is simple with little eye candy and no story to be creative either.
Map Design: 2.5
As others have commented, the map design is very basic. The dried up river bed does not look like a river bed. The cliffs end abruptly with no elevation change, they just drop off. The best part of the map design was the gatehouses/wooden walkway over the river. But the dam as a whole needs work, it would not end like that, the end should be larger, a river feeding into a lake, like in RL.
A very short story, no original characters or a whole plot, just a simple explanation of the map.
