Hello, this is my latest map sorry i have not posted in ages.

The story:

You wake up one morning only to the sound of the titerpatter of foot steps, you get out of bed and look out of the keep only to see a huge army of arabia right outside your castle.

There is now only one thing to do ... fight!

You can play it, but there is not much to do. Your econemy is all ready set up(but I reccomend a save-to-map to get the men working before you start)and you don't need to make any troops, you have too many already.

Balance: 1.5
The map is playable, but is very biased. All you have to do is set it running at off it goes. You have too many crossbowmen so all the enemy troops get slaughtered. All your main troops do is kill some of the sneaky Assasins in the last invasion.

This map style (Port/Sea Defence) has been done loads already. Not much to say here.

Map Design: 2.5
The map was, to be honest, boring. Your troops could hit the enemy when they arrive on the map so not giving them time to organise. Also, how many beaches have you seen where the land just ends? I think you could greatly improve this map easily, and I would help you if you wish. Perhaps some beaches and cliffs could add to the profile of the map. The castle was a bit big however. The main land was dull and so was the oasis. A small clump of trees was the only relif. I did like the port however and it showed some good techniques. Pity you couldnt've added a boat or something, but the port gave it that extra 0.5 to bump it up to 2.5. Playable, but not that exciting.

Story/Instructions: 1
There were none before starting the map, and very sparse and loose story-line at the download page. Low score here.

Additional Comments:
Can easily be improved, but good for a beginner. It was a bit quick and there weren't many invasions. How long did you spend on this map?

thankyou for your ratings and your tips will be taken in thankyou andy
peter2008 Oh, yes, the setting is totally easy. Only the black men bring a thrill.
Landscape and town buildings are for intimation only. - I liked the tiny and playful walls and the little oasis.

May the admin move the map to the Crusader section.

Well, firstly I can't say this map was very captivating. I won without doing anything. The reason why is because there is only one signpost, to the north of the port. The signpost is within range of some of the xbowmen, so any troops coming from there will be hit without a chance to fire back (the arab archers' arrows glance off the towers). Also another note: all the enemies head towards the wall closest your lord before proceeding to breach. That gives your archers and xbowmen enough time to damage/injure them. as Crossbow Dude said, all economy is set up already, nothing challenging like raising an army.

Balance: 1.5
There are too many archers+xbowmen on the walls. try adding fewer of them and adding more enemy archers instead.

I see you used lowered walls, and I likedthe dock area, but that was just about it.

The oasis... good! the river was fine, but the coastline could have used a beach or something. Not much vegetation, too.

Story/Instructions: 1.5
The really good opening paragraph could have been an excellent beginning to a whole story!

Nice work, good luck on your next maps :)
