Long before the AI editor came out, my cousin and I loved to go into the map editor and create our own little castles to put AI in.
One of the times I made these castles, I decided to make a whole AI's worth (8) around one central idea.
Now that the AI editor has come out (and my childhood fantasy has been fulfilled =D), I finally got the chance to watch the AI build the castles from the only surviving castle map.
As for why I chose the Snake:
My original idea was a Rat based AI, but my hopes were crushed when the Rat did not dig the moats.
I then tried phillip, but due to him using knights, iron became a problem for the single stockpile.
The snake on the other hand digs moats AND uses spearmen and archers, while still using only stone and wood. Win-win situation.
Instructions are included in the zip file.
Also, for anyone who cares, you can "extract here" this file without making a mess.
This and the Evil Rat are the only quality AIVs I have made (other than some other random ones), so don't worry about me spamming a lot more.
Man, let's meet on GR to test your installations in practice.
What about the iron problem? Philipp lives by apples and brings in wood and iron only. So there should be no problem with the stockpile.

Can you even use edited AIV files online?
Anyways, Phillip is a problem because he uses wood, iron and stone. Normally that isn't a problem, but during deathmatches a fatal problem occurs for some AIVs.
The way that he spends his wood and stone, all the wood is gone while the stone takes up 3 squares of the stockpile. The iron that comes next then takes up the fourth stockpile section, leaving him unable to accumulate any wood (and therefore build the buildings it is needed for).
It only happens on a couple of the AIVs, but a couple is a couple too much. There is also no room in the original design to fit a second stockpile (in fact, sacrifices were needed just to fit the hovels).

Yes, if both players have the same custom .aiv file, it works nice online.

I remember there was some sort of AI thread in the crusader forums, where people talked about different AIs they would make if they could? Now we could actually build all those AIs :) someone should try and find that thread.
